This was so different than my experience, but still interesting to watch. I got a scan of my mouth, and when I came back the next time they put a thing that looks like a mouth guard over my teeth and used a light to cure the glue. When they took it off, all of the brackets were in their places! Also, instead of rubber bands holding in the wire, mine had doors that they opened and closed to hold them in.

Wow!! This took me back to when I myself had braces at 13 years old. I'm 31 years old now, but I honestly cannot remember this procedure being done on my teeth! Like I'm here sitting thinking wow this exact thing was done to me but cannot remember it. BUT what I do remember is going in for checkups and having to get the rubberbands colors change on the braces! That was my favorite part! I use to do mixmatch, pink&blue (cotton candy) and I most definitely did green&red for Christmas! I didn't keep it on for long unfortunately, I had maybe 2 more years to go (I had it on for 2 years), but I hated having them because I did get tease at school because of them so I begged my mom to get them removed, BUT as I got older, like 19/20 years old I did regret removing them sooner than needed to because my teeth were not fully fixed straight, although I have considered doing it again or perhaps getting invisalign now.

What exactly do you mean by my teeth health? 🙈 My teeth has remained the same since the day I removed the braces (I can’t remember when but that’s ago now), but they have not gone back out of shape or gotten worst. They’re just not as straight/aligned as I wish they could be which would’ve been the results had I kept on the braces. Idk hope that helps? 😊

im the same age and i got braces on the 3rd. honestly it doesnt take too long to get adjusted to eating but for the first week or two, drink boost shakes and eat ramen noodles because they're pretty soft and you dont really have to chew. if you get pain take an advil or tylenol (if you can swallow it) if not then dissolve it in water for about 20-30 minutes. hope this helps ✌

Tips for getting braces 1. Bring chapstick (So your mouth wont be dry) 2. Eat something before the appointment 3. Take pain medicine before the appointment 4. Pick dark colors (Your teeth will look whiter) 5. It doesnt hurt dont stress (Maybe just a little bit of pressure) 6. You might get spacers (Helps space out your back teeth) 7. Sometimes u might need an expander (Helps line up your back teeth) 8. Brush your teeth at certain angles (make sure to floss) 9. Dont eat anything sticky or chewy 10. Sleep on your back (To prevent jaw pain) Hope my tips were a big help😊

I have braces, I remember how weird they felt in my mouth when I first got them on. They didn’t have a taste, but after the first couple days they started to hurt. After the first couple months they didn’t. I got used to them. Here are my tips: DON’T have any caramel apples of corn on the cob, I broke multiple brackets with these. You can however eat apple slices with caramel on them DON’T have any carrots or suckers, I also broke a bracket on those two. You can have boiled carrots because they are softer. DO take good care of the gums around them because I got a warning to take better care recently or they would have to trim off parts of my gums. DO use floss or a waterpik, you can also use an electric toothbrush if you really care. I do personally And those are what I have learned over 1 1/2 years. I can almost get them off because recently I was told that in December they were gonna check if I could get them off. I really hope so because the dentists say I do a good job. If they say that to you too, then just keep it up.

Sort of I just got them awhile ago, putting them on doesn’t hurt except for when they put the wire on it’s not painful you can just feel the tension immediately. The worst part so far is eating when my mouth is sore I got them about 5 days ago and it still hurts to eat, I just stick to Mac and cheese or ramen cuz they are soft and easy to eat so overall rlly eating is the only time it hurts cuz your mouth will be sore

I'm getting my braces done later on today, I'll give an update later on! 😄 🌼 UPDATE! (09/05/24) ~ I forgot to give an update! I got my top braces done, it didn't hurt at all! an hour after the procedure it started hurting, but eating food helped reduce the pain! I'll be getting my bottom braces done on 10/08, i'll give another update on that day! I had to get 3 procedures done on me, which was kind of painful but it at the end it all ended well. I had to get my cavity filling, and teeth cleaning, and lastly I got my braces! it didnt hurt at all :)

it's not painful. Bit uncomfortable especially after adjustment. Teeth are just very sensitive to chewing hard things (2-3 days after adjustment you won't be able to eat solids, paracetamol helps, also you shouldn't eat hard things anyway unless you want to pay for putting your brackets back on if they pop off). Day after you put them on you will feel like your teeth are ''floaty'' which can be uncomfortable - just take paracetamol if you're not allergic. Don't trust people that say that braces are so painful and it's unbareable - that's a lie. I had impacted canine which they pulled down using golden chain attached to the wire - that was more uncomfortable than just braces itself. It's really not so bad!

i think thats how the braces stick to the teeth the dentist will remove the glue when the braces will get off (only dentist can remove the glue if you remove the glue by urself u can damage ur teeth)

Yes, they are all professional at their job and are given info about your teeth. However usually it would be the same person who put them on that would usually make the adjustments to your braces. But there’s no worry in having someone else tighten them because as I said they are all highly trained and professional and have probably done hundreds of brace work on patients before.

yes and no. Each orthodontist would approach the treatment differently. Unless you are moving and need to switch orthodontist you should still bring your old treatment plan along to new orthodontist so they can continue where it was left. No orthodontist that is smart enough would ever take on a case just for a single adjustment because it can cause a lot of damage and end up costing you more money.
