I had the privilege of meeting Rico in Brixton. He was walking past the Angell public house (now flats,or apartments)on Coldharbour Lane so I called to him to come and have a drink, and he did ! I bumped into him on two more occasions, once on the Kings Road in Chelsea and at Gatwick Airport when he was on his way to a music festival in Germany. He had checked all his luggage in but had his trombone in a leather case with him. Clearly he wasn't letting his trombone out of his sight ! He was a lovely friendly natural man. May he rest in peace.

Am a kid from RSA, Grandpa Toots was and still is the best reggae artist, his voice and writings are exceptional, I am great-full to be introduced to this music and the band "Toots and the Maytals"..I just smile from the fist second to the last second , every time am watching this masterpiece.

I remember driving pass Linden on route 1 in New Jersey on night after picking up my daughter from work at the AMC Movie theater in the Jersey Garden mall and this song was playing on the car radio, I'm missing Toots, the performance, the voice, the sound and the energy, a superior singer and songwriter and a legendary artiste and performer, rest in power Mr. Hibbert.
