XDefiant (formerly known as Tom Clancy's XDefiant) is a first-person shooter video game developed and published by Ubisoft. It features a variety of factions and classes, each with their own unique abilities and weapons. The game is set in a near-future version of the United States, where players engage in fast-paced, team-based multiplayer matches across a variety of maps and game modes. XDefiant is currently in development and is set to be released in the future on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows.

You just... can't do this in MWII. I don't care what anyone says, FPS game are no longer "casual" like they once were, and have since gotten far more competitive. I feel like having a skill gap that includes advanced movement, or at the very least movement that doesn't penalize you for moving and jumping in general, is a must for a game that aims to make all playstyles and skill levels valid. Something that makes it worth dedicating yourself to becoming a better player. Catering to the common denominator is a great business model but a horrible gameplay design choice as in MWII, it created a game where pre-aim crouch walking and moving as little as possible guarantees you win a majority of gunfights so long as your accuracy and reflexes are good. I hope XDefiant does well and that it continues to get better and better. COD has too much history and importance in gaming to be replaced or "killed", but at this point we need something that can at least challenge it or be a viable alternative in the military FPS arcade genre.

It’s fun, been playing it since yesterday and for me personally I really just like the maps a lot and the colors are nice. Gunplay is pretty good and movement is good as you can see. The game is still in beta so it has time to get better than it is. Think it will make a good alternate to CoD imo. 🤙
