Top 10 (32) notes I own from the Top 100

I have 3 $10 golds. All close to the same condition. Probably a 10 grade. A jackass note and a "dix" note. A couple Hawaii and African notes in all the denominations. (My dad served during WW2 and went up through Africa all the way to Germany). Can't wait to see what else you've got that i might also have. I have a lot of CSA notes and fractional.

Cool. I don't have star notes, but I have all the notes except for the Dixie. Been looking for that 1 at a reasonable price.. But I have a feeling i'm going to have to pay a little more for than planned. 😢

Nice! Was looking forward to an update of the list, and you deliver. Currently have one on this set, the $1 Hawaii not star. I know I have a couple more, but those will be in the next video or two.

Awesome notes, Stu! I hate to say it, but I’m starting to really dislike my personal bank (US Bank) for finding old currency anymore. Either they are ignorant and uninformed (Old? Bills?) or they like to rub it in your face by saying “we just gave them up because nobody wanted them.” 🤦🏻‍♂️ I’m considering going to another bank that is closer to my new home that is out in the country that I hopefully might be able to score something from there! 😊

Thanks for the story behind "Dixie Land"! The Tombstone note is very cool. That Jacka$$ note is also funny! The artistry on the mini-porthole is nice. Why can't we do something like that now? Real autographs on the fractional is AMAZING! Thanks for some "more" great info!

I too love that book and am trying to collect them. I try to keep in mind that the notes in the book are simply the opinion of a small group of people, who simply were writing an interesting book, completely without regard to collectibility

I have the spinner as i collect all the fractional series. Never knew that it was rare. I just saw the specimen the other day for sale too! I want that one now ❤. I love your show. Its very cool. You are a wealth of knowledge, thank you so much for sharing it!

The large size notes are pieces of artwork. Imagine the buying power when they were new. That Spinner note is fantastic with his real signature.

lol about the Charlie Brown note. Currency collectors are infatuated with nicknames note, so It’s always fun to create and hear about new nicknames

Maybe it’s just the color palette. The gold X ( the bottom is CBs shirt) and the black ink (the stripe) with the invisible hair line. IDK. It’s just the mental image that comes to mind.

Thanks Steve for doing these posts. Some of the notes you talk about and show, I now own BUT I never would have picked them up if not for you talking about their back stories. (such as fractionals, the Slayer note or the Dixie note and many more you taught me about). Please don’t stop.

I am surprised that the $1,000 bill is so low on the list as it’s collected by so many people that list collect one or two notes. Probably why the value has skyrocketed

I had to lock up my 100 greatest collection book in box deeply buried in the shed. It just oozed too much temptation to murder my credit card at those Heritage Auctions! Maybe some day I will get it back out.
