I am sorry to say that Floyd Passed away in the Spring of 2023. Cancer took that other lung. He was sober since 5/2/05. He died sober and in his sleep with AA and church people around him. His sponcer Jim L. was my husband. He passed away April 2022. They are both at the big AA Meeting in heaven. I miss you Floyd.

10 years of drinking, now hitting 32 in February. sat in the pre rehab before i got my 12 week spot place in full rehab.. i walk in late 20 minutes in a full room. never felt so scared, yet used to be so confident. hmmm... sat down, then says welcom chris take a seat, i nervously make an innocent joke on alcoholics just to suppress the awkwardness vibe. group went arround speaking about their reasons on being there other reasons, though was all great valid reasons.. my turn and im still nervous... i say that i grew up mocking and laughing at alkies 😮 but came true and says well whos laughing now. that was my rock bottom that i was now officially seeking help and being arround people that i actually relate to. i ment what i said in a harmless way possibly insulting but i did mean it in a way to relate and ubderstand where i am and what my problems are. i did resoect everyone because all i saw was people. Only i was just being honest and fessing up in my own small words. no one deserves to be there truly. But if u do then well don for taking responsibilitie. it was great not to hide it anymore. but keep in mind, no one fails if u keep at it to sobriety, even if u pick up the bottle, aslong as you keep at it again. Cant fail if you keep pushing. Effort, commitments, self discipline. Determined, patients. only we are in controll. we can use the tools on the advice we receive from other, but its how we use them to build our self again. So well done to everyone who makes the first step, well done to those who admit they have a problem. long journy be keep going. world wide we are all friends and family. Love from scotland 💙 and well done to the AA speakers, amazing heros to inspire us

I am an Australian AA member, here we call this type a ‘ knockabout’. I personally resonate with this group of people, that was part of my experience I’ll never forget. I am not terminally unique as I’m a garden variety Alcoholic, I iD with alcoholism, I just find we’re in a slightly different league of where my illness took me. I’m grateful for the blessings of these shares. Thanks 🙏 🇦🇺📘🦘

Hmm. We actually found this talk one of the great talks of all time. If you read the comments you'll see a lot of people felt uplifted and inspired to work a stronger AA program after hearing Floyd. I wonder if you might listen again with an open mind, if you'll possibly hear what we heard? Maybe not. We don't all need to love the same talks...

@spiritualawakening26757 ай бұрын
I guess we'll agree to disagree. In this story I hear a man who God has chosen to demonstrate through, what He can do. In this talk I hear a man bearing witness to God's power, His love, and His way of life just as the big book says.

@@spiritualawakening2675 I dont record AA speakers dude. Out of reverance for your channel, I deleted my other comments but the reality is, the hobo guy was an AWFUL speaker. This isnt opinion, its objective criticism. Speakers that spend 45 mins or more talking about their drinking is a fail. Orators who dont present interesting ideas and are scatter brained, are not good speakers. I dont know you, or how long youve been sober, or why the heck youre making videos but I dont care. You seem like a punk based soley on the video titles. Why are you even on YT? How old was hobo guy before he actually got sober? To me, people who dont get sober until their 50s or 60s are not the best speakers because 1. theyre wetbrains! 2. they dont have much to talk about, like a life of Recovery, because they werent sober during most of their life. They cant tell you how they made it thru their 30s and 40s sober when life was throwing curveballs at them because they were drinking during that time.
