Working Man Outdoors I think it’s because the fish touched the carpet. Fish cannot touch the carpet or it is a penalty. He didn’t “ask” the official before putting the fish on the deck to removed the hook. He didn’t get the penalty for removing the hook. Seems petty, but it’s what I gathered from watching.

Picture quality and sound far surpasses a GoPro. Usually when you set the hook it gets spotty and muffled. With this unit everything is defined. I don’t feel as I’m missing as much.

This rule that prohibits a fish from touching the boat deck is a bit ridiculous if you ask me! I understand if they come off the hook and flop around the boat but if you still have the fish hooked and under control it just seems ridiculous to me.

BDK Outdoors and More anytime the fish touches the carpet it’s a 2 min landing violation... if the angler asks permission to place fish on the carpet to remove a hook before doing so they do not receive the penalty

Some of the rules makes sense, and some seem to make none at all. You go from the other formats and they’re slinging fish around throwing em around in the boat and dropping fish from whatever height and this format where you can barely look at the fish. Even if it “helps the fish population” some of these rules need to be looked at and they need to really think if it’s helping or hurting this sport.
