what the ant are doing is they are doing a ant mill or a death circle. An ant mill is an observed phenomenon in which a group of army ants are separated from the main foraging party, lose the pheromone track and begin to follow one another, forming a continuously rotating circle, commonly known as a "death spiral" because the ants might eventually die of exhaustion.

If your wondering what those ants are doing it’s called “circle of death” or something that that basically it happens when the ant that starts the line back to the hill gets lost or dies and the rest of the ants circle it because they are just workers and they follow a guard ant back to the tunnel they will be like that until another guard comes or they all just die.

@@Atlas59423 well, it is him reacting to it, so he would talk through it sometimes and says things that make the images or videos less scary when he says something. And also, some people do find it more comfortable to watch something scary with someone, even if it’s just someone reacting to it without saying a word. I’m not one of those people but there are some people that do, i am just a person who enjoys Matt reacting to it and makes me laugh anytime he is saying something funny about the vid/short/images. I’m just saying. Also, sorry that this was a long message.

8:03 To explain this. Ants follow each other so for instance if the ant at the very front start walking like how you see in the video the rest of the ants will come. Since it’s a circle the ant at the front will end up following the rest of the ants, and it doesn’t stop unless one of the ants walk out of the circle then the others will follow. -Sorry that’s the best I can explain it..
