When you cover the lamp with sheets of clay does it ever crack during the drying process? I covered a glass jar and it cracked in several places!! Not sure what I did wrong!

It really depends on the brand of your clay. I usually use DAS and don't have many problems with cracks. You have to remember that air dry clay shrinks when drying, so maybe don't put it too tight around the jar ☺️

Mam if I’m doing these for selling purposes for the finishing using modpoge is fine or what can I use ? Varnish can I use ? If can what kind of varnish is good ? Please reply I’m planning to do a small home business using air dry clay

This is only for decorating purpose so any kind of PVA glue will work fine. Varnish is also good idea, even better than mod podge which can turn to slightly yellow colour over the time. Good luck with your business 👏😚

That's true, there is. But air dry clay is not food safe so even if you protect it with pod podge you can't use it for this purpose.

Air -hardening modeling clay is different than air dry clay for those of you looking to make these projects. Air hardening us the one you want. Air dry clay feels light and poofy which is what you don't want but us sold more commonly.

If you are using DAS air dry clay, you can put it to the oven on the lowest temperature and maybe even keep the doors slightly open. But I only recommend doing it with DAS brand as I haven't tried with different ones. 😊
