Kushtaka not only takes the shape of an otter, but mist. The most common notion is that they were shamans. My mother saw one going up a river. The Kushtaka is very prominent in southeast, and I have a friend who was gifted an otter plush from his parents as a joke, but it would move place to place even when up high.
@Gardylmon513 жыл бұрын
So any otter you meet could be a Kushtaka.

as a fellow Alaskan, i love this video, it's great. you did a great job talking about my home 💕 you can see the northern lights best from up north, like in Fairbanks or a village. however i seriously doubt we actually have any haunted hotels, i've been to a couple from this list and nothing happened. but idk maybe i was just there at the wrong time

As an indigenous Alaskan I appreciate your accuracy with these legends! Another Aurora Borealis legend is that they are passed on spirits stuck in limbo and if you whistle at them, they will get angry (visually they will begin to move and twinkle more aggressively) and come down to snatch your soul! My grandparents and great aunts/uncles told us stories like that all the time!

Would you consider doing a feature on the Wendigo? It's an ancient spirit, not just in North America but around the world. Some civilizations say that just saying its name can draw its attention and it's not the kind of attention you want focused on your village or family.
