Dipper Fan he got Android L on his phone because that is a Nexus 5. Android L is only available on Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 (2013). You can get Android L from source code if someone created an Android L ROM for your device

Great video! Very informative. You can also touch the top bar after the first swipe of the notification shade to get to quick settings instead of having to swipe down twice.

The "android L" in itself point was really good and something I think almost everyone has overlooked. Google is doing what it can to help with faster updates and I think this may be pretty positive for the adoption rate for 5.0

I agree about the everything. With "L" being out now, I have heard every major OEM say "Within 90 days of the official release of "L", it will be available for a majority of flagships and last years flag ships etc." That is the best thing "L" brings. Android for everyone!

Hey Google how about instead of android L you should update all the users who still run gingerbread!!. Also tell samsung to stop RUINING ANDROID. Touchwiz is just so bad it makes android seem really laggy as shit. I'm a ex gs3 user and now matter what specs a samsung phone has its going be be really laggy because poor software optimization. Google plz for god sakes stop Samsung. The only reason Google sold Motorola is because samsung got jealous that Google was playjng favorites. honestly samsung sucks so bad. I'm glad I went back to HTC , the company that should truly represent android.

You can use that for daily driver.., i've used L for 2 weeks and it never crash. the only thing that broke is whatsapp but they fixed it 2 weeks ago. the only thing i hate from L is installing it because you need thing and thing and do some thing :v

He was using a nexus because the developer version of android was only available on nexus 5 but samsung can also use these features if you update your phone

Touchwiz has features, yes... but it's bloated. I have a Samsung phone and I like it's features and design hardware wise but I run Cyanogen Mod 11 on it, like most custom roms it's much better if you ask me.

Id say proximity is a way better solution than the fingerprint scanner. There has been a lot of discussion about how easily the fingerprint scanner can be bypassed and it isn't even close to the level of security a pass-code provides. I have been using proximity lock with my pebble smartwatch and if the watch disconnects there is no other way to unlock the phone other than the code, and to disable it again the code has to be entered once with the watch connected after which it will not ask for the code again unless the watch disconnects. You can also manually lock the phone from the watch in which case even if the hypothetical thief had opened the phone in your vicinity it'd turn of the screen and enable the lock.
