I always thought it was lame that they gave him bone claws. I don't remember him having them originally. As I understood as a kid was that the blades were added during Weapon X and were completely artificial. I always thought they just attached tendons in his forearms on to the blades.

wait in xmen days of future past logan doesnt have his metal claws or skeleton so how would he get sick from the metal in his skeleton in logan? BIG MISTAKE

In days of future past in 2024 Logan has his adamantium skeleton and adamantium claws at the end of The Wolverine he lost 3 of his adamantium claws and sometime afterwards magneto fixed his claws by pulling the metal back together and putting it over his bone claws (which grew back after he got his adamantium claws chopped off) however in days of future wolverine gets sent back in time to 1973 6 years before he got the adamantium coated to his skeleton which is probably why your confused here but there are many alternative explanations as to why wolverine is losing his healing ability in Logan one of the other explanations is that the corn syrup which the government put in food is designed to target and destroy the x-gene in peoples body so therefore they can’t pass those genes on to kids and also it takes away mutant powers in the case of Logan it took away his healing powers
