I think the glide cape was introduced in Batman Returns. Ironically, he uses it after simply watching a woman fall to her death w/o any attempt at diving towards her. XD

The glide cape was something that's been with Batman longer than the movies I believe. At least in the early comics they intended for a Da Vinci-styled flying machine but opted for his cape later. The 1989 Batman film had Batman glide with his cape so definitely before Batman Returns. Batman Begins just added a scientific explanation.

Arsio12 Batman '89 showed him jumping into action w/ his cape spread out, but the sequel was the first time he was shown actually leaping off a building and gliding in the air, at least on the big screen. Not sure about the comics.

Disruptor: Capable of jamming firearms, the disruptor is one of my favourite gadgets. I don't think I've ever done a Predator encounter without jamming a firearm, a weapons crate, a stun stick, a medic's revive, a trip mine, a sentry gun… the possibilities are endless, and certainly illustrate that all the equipment in the world will not save you from the Dark Knight. Remote Hacking Device: To say that this device is the bread and butter of Batman's infiltrations into guarded areas is a massive understatement. Capable of opening doors, activating equipment and tapping radio frequencies, without this, Batman would probably feel like we do without our phones. Remote Electrical Charge: Imagine using this on your phone. You'd never run out of juice again! But besides that, anyone knows a jolt of high voltage is going to ruin your whole day.

While it hasn't aged well and does represent a take on Batman that is now controversial with fans (thanks to Joel Schumacher and Warner Bros. Execs), it represents a time when the tone of superheroes weren't taken too seriously. #1 and #2 are exactly in the right order. The other gadgets are also worthy although I don't have an opinion on the order. Correction at 7:27 on the line: "The grappling gun or 'Batclaw' as it has been called in the Arkham Series." Actually, they're two separate devices in the Arkham series. The Batclaw was used to pull of grates, henchmen, walls, etc. The grappling gun (which is actually called the 'Grapnel' Gun in the Arkham Series) was used just to move Batman to high places. Maybe they're not separate devices in the comics but they are in the game.

My favourite one is the Remote Eletrical Charge because of the way you can electrocute enemies and because it's funny watching the thugs spin around and hit other thugs

I get why the batarang is number one but in terms of effectiveness I would go with the grappling gun or the bat claw, which are seperate

No mention of the anti-god bullet, Batman used against Darkseid?. No seriously I'm not making this up Batman actually got his hands on a bullet that supposedly can kill deities!, why???
