Two villain retcons that will forever bug me: 1) Ra's al Ghul suddenly had a daughter before Talia, Nyssa, whom he abandoned in a concentration camp during WWII. As an immortal, she survived (though she was rendered infertile by the scientists who experimented on her) but her sons, male heirs that Ra's has craved for centuries, were killed. 2) The Langstrom family before _Flashpoint_ were a shockingly wholesome clan. Kirk genuinely cared about his wife Francine and children Becky and Aaron, to the point of leaving town whenever he felt a Man-Bat episode coming on so that he could protect them from himself if need be, and Francine even had a brief stint as a reserve hero by using a newer version of her husband's serum. After the reboot, the kids no longer existed and "Francine" was a League of Assassins agent that had manipulated her husband to create the Man-Bat serum so she could steal it and create an army of bat-human hybrid assassins.

Agree with the first one. That took a lot out of the Batman/Talia/Ra’s conflict and mythology .

The Batman animated series did a fantastic job fleshing out the tragic motivations of Mr Freeze. Not being married to Nora is a disappointing retcon.

I really hated Sniyder's ret-con about Mr. Freeze. Luckily the Rebirth brought back the previous origins of the character.
