I adore the Great Sapphire Tiara as worn by our Queen Maxima of the Netherlands. I find it highly amusing that she is a commoner yet she wears the Tiara as if it is made for her. She looks absolutely stunning wearing it. Somehow her predecessors - all of them royals- didn't do the tiara justice. Thank you for including this tiara.

Extremely enjoyable. When I was a child in the late 1950’s I would wear my mothers rhinestone tiara and use the bedsheet as an evening gown. I still have the rhinestone tiara. The last time I wore it was on the Fourth of July in the 1990s. It was quite a hit considering all the other girls were wearing 🧢 baseball hats.

Enjoy a bit of fantasy. It need not cost a fortune and you do not need to have royal blood. Buy a toy one of make one and enjoy wearing it when nobody is around eg to do housework. I did that as a poor girl out in remote Australia where there were no shops that sold toys. So I made a crown out of bits of fencing wire, wildflowers, coloured bird feathers, bits of coloured glass...I was so proud of it I wore it to school in class but it bothered other kids and I was instructed to refrain from wearing such strange things in public. I didn't think it strange. I told my father who said not to worryabout people with no sense of class or style and that it was OK towear it, so long as I didn't get a bid head and think I was important. So, Ijust wore it at homebit soon discovered it was hard to do domesticchores wearing a crown and wondered how otherprincesses in castles coped withthis minor problem.M

@mr.googoopants35815 жыл бұрын
@@AndrewPidor Thanks! That would be an honor. Also, you can add some fun facts to each of the tiaras and their history. For example, The Russian Fringe Tiara was the tiara that Queen Elizabeth wore on her wedding to Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark and that it actually snapped on the day of the wedding itself; or the Alba Wedding Tiara was the tiara that Cayatena FitzJames-Stuart, 18th Duchess of Alba wore to her wedding which eclipsed even the wedding of Queen Elizabeth II and that she's the most titled person on Earth with special priviledges such as being the only person allowed to enter the Seville Cathedral on horseback, being allowed not to stand up in the presence of the King of Spain, and not needing to bow before the Pope himself; The Duchess of Angoulême Emerald Tiara was owned by Marie Therese of France, daughter of King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette herself or how The Empress Eugenie Tiara was once owned by Eugenie de Montijo, the last queen/empress of France and how she once prevented herself in becoming just another of the Emperor's mistresses by answering his question of "Which way is it to your heart" - "Through the chapel sire". So many great historical importance on those tiaras.

The British royalties took the Jewel collection of the Romanovs but didn’t bother to grant them refuge the time he needed them the most. Tzsar Nicholas II and his family were massacred during Russian revolution and in this clip, Queen Elizabeth seen proudly wore one of the Tzsar jewels without feeling any remorse of what the former king did to his closed cousin Tzsar Nicholas II, his wife Tszarina Alexandra who also happened to be the granddaughter of Queen Mary.

@@AndrewPidorHer name was Harriet Fielding When I cared for her she lived in Fountain Head apts in Framingham Ma. She was in her 80's then it was about 1975-76. Her son was a Dr. I remember having to go to an apt w her to Goldstein Swank & Gordon Jewlers. She brought a bunch of the jewels in her hand bag to be appraised. I was totally unaware until we got there she had any w her. They wanted to"take it out back" & didn't want us to go w it. I was fairly insistent that couldn't happen & wanted to use the phone to call her son. They didn't know I observed a man on a second level lower a basket that they put some of the jewels in. They knew her well. Her mind & memory were slipping & I think they were taking advantage of that. I wish then I thought to encourage her to take pictures of all she owned. I'm SURE it Must be been insured. She started miss placing some of them & accusing people of stealing. I was afraid she'd eventually also blame me,so I called my supervisor & asked to b removed from the case. I really Loved her & enjoyed being there. We used to put on hats & gloves & sip tea... She offered to let me put on a GORGEOUS Sapphire & Diamond ring & an equally Gorgeous Opal ring(opals are my birth stone,so I'm partial) & a tiara but I didn't feel right about it & declined. I had NEVER in my young life seen such things,only in movies. My Dad Loved royalty & I was reading Nicolas & Alexandra in 6th grade & I saw a movie about them & other royal & their jewels. Funny how this triggered that memory. I hadn't thought about that in Many years.

A fabulous video. Just a note that there is a mispronunciation at Number 2. It is pronounced as if it rhymes with life, as Fife is an area in Scotland known as the "Kingdom of Fife" due to it's ancient history and the belief that it was at one stage a Pictish kingdom. I was sorry not see Queen Victoria's Emerald Tiara in the top 10, as I love the romanticism of it being designed for her by Prince Albert (plus it is stunningly beautiful).

What about the tiara from the thumbnail? You didn't mention this one, just another one also with emeralds. I think the emerald tiara was worn by Queen Victoria. I have seen a canvas on which the tiara looks a lot like this.
