Dude, as I watch through your backlog of videos I appreciate you more and more compared to the other people making flashlight videos on KZbin. I’m having a hard time deciding between the Emisar you have at number 6 and the Lumintop you have at number 5. Am completely torn and I need help deciding!!!

I own half of them, all fantastic lights. They each serve a purpose (and some are just fun as hell) Good to see you reviewing affordable pieces, you and Darren yeo are both favorite channels of mine when it comes to current affordable flashlight reviews. Appreciate you doing the legwork for us all.

Love all of my Convoy lights. Use my S2+ at work every day, my toolbag torch. We live on a multi acre ranch and the C8+ is great for checking our furthest fencelines. My favorite though is my M1's. Have three generations of this torch and all have been wonderful. Thank you for your review as it really showcased a few brands that I never considered!

really enjoyed this one. I am a big Sofirn noctigon Emisar collector. I have every light in your video except the orange Convoy. With 150 lights on hand everyday ready to go the Sofirn SC 31 pro gets picked most days. It is my top pick as well. I also purchased the Sofirn SP10 pro with Audril 2 this year. Great light with many battery choices. Thank you! You are appreciated

I have a lot of S2+, they are a great light for simple use. I have so many because of all the different emitter options. I have a lot of Nichia emitters in the S2's, my favorite S2 is the 5700K Nichia 519a. I believe the SC31PRO is a great light, just would like some different emitter options available for those lights. A shame they would not offer the Osram P9 in the SC31PRO, and some Nichia or Samsung emitters available in that light as well. Another great video of good information.

Thank you Jack I appreciate your comment and support 🙏 Yes I wish sofirn would allow you to pick emitters, maybe one day they will add it.

Hello my friend. I would like to get the Convoy. I think the current version is the S3? What emmiter would you recommend? After watching many KZbin videos I think I prefer cooler temperatures. 5K or higher ! What is the main difference between Cree & Nichia? Also is the Convoy available with an E switch?And is the best place to get it AliExpress? I'm also glad it doesn't have a built-in charging port. Don't care for the rubber plug on lights! Would rather use an external charger. All my other lights are AA & AAA. This would be my first 18650! Take Care. Paul 🔦
@smotheredchrome2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Paul I appreciate your comment 🙏 Nichia are high CRI and lower output very warm tints and Cree are more powerful less CRI, from what you explained you definitely want to go with Cree. I have over 20 convoys and none of mine have e switches but I believe they do have a few models that do. AliExpress and Amazon sells convoy, I hope this helps you out my friend appreciate you 🙏

@@smotheredchrome Thanks so much for your reply!! I ment to ask you what site you were looking at flashlights on your phone during different videos of yours that I have watched? Was it possibly an app that you have downloaded? It looked very intuitive and full of details! Do you have an affiliate link for me to purchase the Convoy through so you would get credit? Sounds like I need the S2 + or the S3 with a Cree emitter, about 5K or higher. Flashlight body in a color RED ! PS. What is your first name? Thank You !!!!
@smotheredchrome2 жыл бұрын
Thank you I appreciate your comment 🙏 The site is AliExpress and it is a app, I do plan to add affiliate links just don't know how to set up yet. My first name is Joseph.

@@smotheredchrome Hi Joseph, good to meet you ! On your Convoy S2+ you said you got both SFT & SST emitters. Can you explain the difference between the two? Also a video suggestion . I downloaded the AliExpress app and thought it would be interesting if you would show how you navigate the site ordering a specific flashlight? Choosing emmiter, color of body etc ! I've also heard through KZbin the Convoy S2 + has a shorter tube body as an accessory to accommodate a CR123 but could not find accessories for this light. Also where do you recommend that I purchase an 18650 battery for this ?Have a GREAT DAY! Thanks as always! Paul. 🔦
@smotheredchrome2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Paul I appreciate your comment 🙏 The sft40 and sst40 are the same emitters, the sft40 is Dedoned so it throws farther but has less lumens than the SST40, I purchase all my high performance batteries from 18650batterystore.com I don't believe the convoy will except the cr123 batteries, I use 18350 same size as the cr123. I can definitely show how I navigate and shop for a light on AliExpress, I will put something together for you, appreciate you 🙏

so.. you just placed them all down and said which ones you rated on the scale. however you did not remove the battery from any, did not show the light from any.... can these lights take any 18650 battery ? do they require the 2500mah or 3000mah 18650 battery? my vape takes the same batteries and wanted to know which light would work well since i already have the batteries

About the Convoy s2*+*. You should try the one Simon sells on the express site with the 519A, R9080 CRI and orange peel reflector. It's a deceptively good flood light with many emitter color choices. Add a cone type TIR lense and it becomes an amazing flood light for it's size. It can get pretty hot though. The only regret with mine is how many flash modes it has. A bit excessive for me. One reviewer who has probably tried almost every combination of this light/ host said he thinks it's the best setup for this particular hosts reflector depth and diameter etc. I don't think the pictures and video do it justice.

I definitely collect more of the enthusiast type lights (emisar, noctigon, lumintop, mateminco) but I also have quite a few wurkkos/sofirns, I’m surprised you rated the sc31 pro so highly, maybe it’s just me but I hate that sst-40 emitter (ugly green tint) and I cannot get over the beam artifacts that all all three of mine have. Digging these top ten videos though.😅
