I used to love the speedcats. My favorites back in the day I used to wear were my baby blue suede ones. Love to see these styles being recycled. Puma and Adidas Superstars were the biggest casual shoes back when I was in HS in the early 2000's. I had like 10 colors of both in my rotation. Looked great and were affordable. You could find them for in between $50-$75. Sometimes even as low as $30-$40 when it was end of the season and they were trying to get rid of the previous seasons colorways so they could push all the new colorways coming out.

I tell people this too. I had black and pink speedcats back then in my indie emo era early 2000s. I was also rocking asics onituka tiger, and saucony jazz. Anyone who was into bands in the early 2000s knows the staple scene kicks... vans, samba, saucony Jazz, those one NB I think 574, chucks, early 2000s vision street wear if you were screamo Nike 6.0 was hooking us up, Macbeth, puma speed cat, supra Skytop If you were heavy into kicks. I can't forget Diesel kicks... and the American eagle kicks, even Umbro was on our feet during the scene era. Many of us comfortably chilling hipsters would make the pilgrimage to get weird in Austin and stumbled upon Nice Kicks during SXSW early days. Weezer green album introduced the scene to dunks. And saves the days through being cool saw NB and TUK creepers styled differently. And vans oldskool was starting to become hip again. Sheesh. I remember TOO much about kicks. 😅

I actually own the taekwondo shoes cause I’m a international fighter and I would recommend these to everybody cause I have them in many variations and they feel solid on foot and are looking pretty good. And aren’t that expensive

With the zero heel toe gap-wide toe box-flat footed community and trend going on, and with people caring more and more about their "foot health" : I think that's why the puma's, adidas samba's and other "flat foot no extra heel shoe" (and even crocs for the wide toe box) are becoming a thing now, even in the fitness industry (for exercise/weight lifting shoes they need flat shoes).... -I watched Rose Anvil review of the Sambas and he said it's one of the rare shoes that are worth something (compared to others nowadays)... -For that Taekwondo adidas = a perfect alternatives are the Feiyue classic 1920's (the original ones from the company DAFU) are great for flexibility and cost 25$ tops. You could get 4 for 100$... They're not good for runners obviously but for everyday use I swear by them. (They breakdown fast but thats what you get for the price) Your 🐾 are welcome. 🤙🏾 PS: would love to see you review more Hokas.
