This video is an updated list of the top ten most powerful/ best Axes in Kingdom Come Deliverance. This list is a followup to viewer suggestions and comments on my previous video. Due to that input, this list is based solely of each weapons max damage output, and the weapons are ranked accordingly without any other variables. I first show each weapon, and visually critique them, and then i go through the stats of each weapon.

KNowing Vavra makes great story line I waited even after release so I can safe up for best computer to enjoy the best experience. 7 years of anticipation gone away with this idot spoiling it. The wrapping around the bardiche axe is commonly found on axes made for chopping wood because the leather wrapping cushions the handle from impact while splitting the wood as the split log will often strike the handle

I assume someone already answered the bardiche question, but just in case. A bardiche was used mostly around the 15th century when firearms were huge and heavy. It was used first and foremost to balance and aim the musket. Then because it took so damn ling to load the firearm it was used as a defensive weapon when the enemy closed in. I have never seen one this short. They were usually a long 2 handed weapon that was used like a bi-pod.

Axes stat wise seem absolutely useless, you really have to go out of your way to use one to realise how damn good they are. For one they have precious blunt damage which is really the most powerful damage type in the game. Maces win in this category but have the slowest attack speed in game, bare none. This means against lightly armoured opponents maces fall short, you find yourself constantly opening the menu to switch weapons - swords for light armour and mace for heavy. When you use the Axe primarily you have the best of both worlds. It attacks fast, destroys light armour and crushes plate. The metal plated axe from Rattay is just amazing, coming with stab damage also.

Yes I prefer my axe over maces even. I use the #2 on this list the stab damage increase is worth it to me to use over the 5 more blunt damage of the #1. Axes as well as the maces appear to be able to break guards of your opponents far greater than that of a sword my guess is to to the weight of the weapon being concentrated in one area. Nothing is stronger than the bow though greater piercing arrows+yew longbow+headshot=death I don't care what they are wearing.

What are you talking about??? The stats are same as mace except mace has it all in blunt while axe have it split between slash and blunt so they are basically same but mace wont inflict bleading from the slash and on armored opponent axe will be only on half of its damage because slash part gets canceled but compare it with a sword that has no blunt damage.

Atack speed means nothing when fighting with high lvl knights - they block/parry every your attack, so you have chance for a strike after an ideal block only - thats why one hit damage matters more.

The cutouts are not only for looks but also to reduce weight. If you'd have to fight with such a massive axe your arms would get tired very quickly because of the top-weighted (? sorry dont know if that's an actual word) balance. Therefore the lower the weight, the longer you'll be able to hold it up

the holes in the blade of the battle axe are for weight purposes, their purpose is to have a lighter axe without giving up structural strenght

That makes more sense. I was thinking they were similar to fluting on a sword which helps keep it from getting stuck in someone.

To be honest I thought it was for reduced surface area.. Same as to why cheese knives have those holes in them aswell. It makes it easier to cut through whatever you're slicing. That was its practical purpose, but they also have them to be ornamental as well though with all different shaped holes.

Bardiche, sounds like 'Bar-deeh' aka the 'Bearded Axe'. Came in polearms and hand axe form, most popularized in Northern and Eaterm Europe and Central Asia. Gimli is awesome. That is all.

I like the No. 2 axe the best because I tend to stab a lot. It's fairly easy to get headshots with the spike on someone that doesn't have a helmet with a lot of coverage and that usually takes off about 60% of their health in one blow.

the "Bardiche" is usually a very tall bit two handed axe, this looks maybe like a one handed sparth axe(predecessor of the bardiche, funny enough), maybe... I know I'm a little late but still, always trying to help.

Mostly, but there are differences too. For example, most axes dont do any stab damage, except Broad Axe and Battle Axe which have pointy end above handle. There are also differences based on weight and sometimes reach.

As far as animations in the game are concerned, there is little difference between any weapons in a given class. However, as Miroslav Kocúr said, there are a few exceptions.

As far as i know there are not. The closest thing to a two handed strength weapon in the Game is a club that Runt uses at nthe beginning, but as far as i can tell, there is no way to acquire it.

Holes on blade of battle axe No 3, 2 and 1 are deliberately added to aid removal from flesh as it prevents suction. Modern military knives have a similar addition

Ah, that is good to know. I had thought that this was a possibility, since many high end kitchen knives have similar pitting/cutouts to make sure that they do not get hung up when cutting through meat.

Suction happens in mud but not the human body. It’s an incredibly common urban myth which is totally understandable. The holes are just to make it lighter without taking away from strength.

About the cut-out ornaments in no.3, they do have a practical purpose in real life. If the blade gets stuck in the enemy’s flesh, they provide space through which the wound can bleed faster, even if you don’t pull the weapon out of the wound. Many combat knives and swords have blood grooves or holes too.

Halfway up the list before you actually get to the battle-axes - kind of why I didn't ever bother training with the axe. When you've got the Bailiff's mace and all the biblical swords to choose from why settle for "axe I found on the roadside"?

I’m so confused. Why does every one say the one without the point is better at the end. The one without a point only has +2 extra slash/blunt damage whilst losing -24 stab. Surely the one with the point is statistically better ???
