As much as I loved the "Beetlejuice" movie, I loved the cartoon even more growing up. It was so cool to see Beetlejuice and Lydia as friends, and the hijinks they'd get into each week. One of my favorite episodes was when Beetlejuice had to become Robin Hood (I honestly don't remember the reason why), but all he wanted to do was rob the rich. Full stop. He wasn't trying to give to the poor; Lydia had to remind him to do that. 🤣🤣

My favorite scene was when Beetlejuice fought a Sand worm to save his dad. I cant find that clip anywhere, but his dad was trapped, so Beetlejuice possessed a construction machine and pushed the Sandworm back. Its the only time I remember him going face to face with that monster!

OOh, God this takes me back! Such an underrated childhood classic! On top of Claire's comeuppance in the haunted house roller coaster ride, I also love her comeuppance in the episode of the school play "Romeo and Juliet" and how she treated the foreign exchange student, Alex. Such sweet payback! If you do a top 20, "hotel hello", "sappiest place on earth", "dragster of doom" "driven crazy", and "Doomie's romance", "laugh of the party", "bewitched, bothered and Beetlejuiced" are great too! Plus, the dinner scene in the episode "Cousin B.J." is a great homage to the original movie too.

Where is "Poultrygeist"? where Beetlejuice runs afoul a fowl chicken....the greatest thing about this episode is all the chicken does is cluck and drives Beetlejuice mad. no matter what Beetlejuice does to give rid of this sinister fowl it is in vain to end up with a climintic cluck.

My personal favorite episode is where BJ helps set up Lydia's Halloween Party. Then the neither world guest get monster sized, and they both go to get them. With the best line from Lydia being, "Go ahead, make my Halloween 🎃. "

I had some of these on VHS back in the 90s...Shop till you freak at the Spooky Boutique has, no joke, been stuck in my head for nearly 30 years now....even though I haven't SEEN this show in over two decades...need to pick up the full collection they got out in a box set. This show was a riot to watch. Lydia's chant from the first episode and the Spooky Boutique thing have stuck with me for YEARS.

I've been a fan of "Beetlejuice" for over 30 years! I was so excited when the complete series of the animated series became available on DVD that I bought it immediately. I also bought the Build-a-Bear Beetlejuice plush to celebrate the release of the sequel. Even after seeing the sequel, I still prefer the cartoon. lol

The animated series's intros and art style absolutely traumatized me as a kid, and made me shudder at the mere mention of Beetlejuice. I'm 33 now and not only do I adore both intros and their version of the theme, the series is actually really funny and expertly done. In the mire of Saturday morning cartoons, this one was actually a powerhouse.

I loved this show so much as a kid. The CG is incredibly dated now but was so cool back then. Those commercial interludes were always good. And if I remember right the might have had an incredibly meta moment. Beetlejuice and Lidia went to visit his Aunty M in the country. They get there and she's an anthropomorphic cow. When Lidia asks about it, Beetlejuice just shrugs and says, "You know, she's a cow, it's the Neitherworld." And just leaves it at that.
