Great list. I'm lucky to have Guerlain Derby and it is fantastic. I have 50ml of the vintage Antaeus and it is probably one of the best masculine fragrances ever that represents the positive vibe of the 80s. I had Rochas Femme but gave it away since it is pretty redundant against Jubilation Woman which I also have. Never had the chance to own Puredistance M unfortunately but it is supposed to smell similar to Roja's Fetish which I luckily have. When I found out Fetish is discontinued, I got myself a backup bottle. You've put New York Intense back on my radar and I may acquire a bottle

Firstly, Well done to you both and amazing list. I have 7 out of 10 in your top 10 list. If I would suggest a couple, definitely Roja Chypre Extraordinaire - although no oak moss (according to Roja) but an amazing composition based on a classical Chypre structure. I wear it when I’m not in the mood for Diaghilev, not as loud but beautiful. I personally also like Musk Oud by Roja - once you view it as a Chypre fragrance, it’s even better! Mixed reviews on performance but it does perform well on my skin and one of my most complimented fragrance! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and most of all, your time.

Nice list! I love Chypre Siam and Palatin…yes you really have to try Papillon Dryad and Salome. Dryad’s opening is so intensely green! Really beautiful. Salome is challenging and complex but so so good. And the drydown is amazing! I will put Chypre Mousse on my wish list. Thanks!

I started my chypre journey at age 15: Le Temps D’aimer by Alain Delon. It remains my favourite fragrance ever.

I own Roja by Roja, it is indeed a very good chypre. But imo not better than Diaghilev. And the only chypre that is better than Diaghilev as classical chypres go, is from the same Roja house, vintage paper lable for Fetish pour femm. (Nothing feminine about it tho :D)
