Sonic 1 scrapbrain, wonder boy 3 side crawler's dance, and black belt ( Hokuto No Ken) boss stage are the best quality sountrack I've ever heard on the master system.

Where is Golvellius? Rastan? Zillion II: The TriFormation? Altered Beast? Golden Axe? With the exception of the tracks from Outrun that weren't even played here, all of these had better music than what was heard above.

Hi Star. Appreciate your video and love of the master system music but come on there are some better ones than those, e.g "the ninja", "alex kidd in shinobi world", "California games", "wonder boy 2 dragon's trap", "fantasy zone", "Donald duck lucky dime caper" those were so amazingly addictive and memorable too. Thanks for your video tho brought back good memories.

Road rash stands out way above the others. Especially in terms of production quality. Arpegiated chords, ADSR enveloped leads with echo effects, better sounding drums. Basically it uses all the well known tricks by chip tune composers of the day to get a fatter sound. Shame all the other games didn't have them. It's weird just how bad the music was compared to other 8 bit systems, despite having very similar hardware. If you look at the ZX Spectrum 128k, that had some truly impressive sound tracks. There's no technical reason why the master system couldn't produce the same quality music, road rash is proof. I guess games developers on this system just weren't that bothered about having good music. Either that or the software available to musicians was rubbish. This really frustrated me as a kid. I knew I could have done a better job.

Road Rash came out a little later then most of these games here so that's why it rocks. The Master System in Japan actually had better FM sound available but I guess it didn't came over here due to cost.
