Playing through Dream Tactics myself and legit couldn't put it down, finally broke away due to needing to go back to work but I'm about to dive back in and don't think I'll be able to stop until I beat it. It's just THAT fun for me. 😅 Just to expand on why its so fun for me: - every chest you find has a significant upgrade which sometimes completely changes your build depending on when you find them. - Character's power spikes fluctuate depending on the gear and card you find, including cards meant for other units since although each character follows their own mechanic, anyone can use them based on how the cards scale. - Areas are choose your own adventure so although they say one area might be harder then the other, enemies scale with your allies so at no point are you either too weak or too strong, its all about preference. - That said, areas do get progressively harder and the final fight in each are all insane so you might find yourself backing out to explore another area only to come back and demolish it later. - There is no incorrect way to go about a fight, I'm still using the base characters I started with and they are doing just fine, although i can swap them around at any point for more fire power (levels remain consistent even if you don't use them or recruit them later). TLDR: I love the game, give it a try if you either like tactics games or combo games based on random card draw. xD

I reccomend Crown Jewelz for a puzzle adventure and urban Lockdown if interested in beat em ups

Shadow of the Depth - Top-down and combat can go really well together and it looks fast and fluid here and tactical would be even better if that's baked in too.

So, The Devil Within is not a metroidvania? I was pretty sure it was going to be one (still haven't played the full version). I completely recommend Anomaly Collapse, it is such a good turn-based roguelite. There were a few balance bugs when it was released, but now it should be everything under control.

Pathless woods doesn't have controller support which makes it unbuyable for me. And the worst part about it is that the developers said that the reason for not providing controller support is that they want to focus on delivering a 'PC experience' first. I mean, come on. It's 2024. Playing with a controller is part of the PC experience. Especially for cozy games. I want to sit in the living room on the couch and play such games with a controller and not sitting at my desk being forced to play with mouse and keyboard.
