Great video - and to answer your question: I'd stay at The Hideaway or Simpson House !

Living in Sta Barbara is extravagant and cost of living is high.

We recently stayed at Mar Monte and it was during a heatwave. The room was very small and the AC failed, and the best they could do was give us a fan. Beware of resort fees and $40 a night parking fee. BTW, the hotel was built in the 1930’s, and it shows.

Not only did you mispronounce the Spanish names of these hotels, but you left off the Number One classic luxury hostelry with a long list of famous guests, The San Ysidro Ranch. The classic Four Seasons Biltmore should have been among the top, but it's been closed since Covid because Ty Warner, who purchased it, is digging in his heals and refusing to open it again until he can get out of his contract with Four Seasons, because he thinks he can run a luxury hotel better than them. Also, the photo towards the end of this video with high rises along the beach IS NOT Santa Barbara. The tallest building allowed in town is six stories and is on downtown State, not near the beach.
