1. Usagi Yojimbo starts out with lots of “one-shots,” but later gets into nice juicy story arcs. 2. Eight Billion Genies is freaking amazing!!! Nice list.

@TBATB Ha, I guess it is ! A day at a time. And doing what I can to catch up on a lot of Marvel Silver and Bronze Age, and anything Kirby as well. Neat that so many from Marvel have been a blessing for you this year. And yeah, maybe be a little careful with the spending there ☺️

So World War Hulk is getting a reprint next year, OPB has it slated 05/28 for release. Fun fact that was the 1st book that I bought from OPB Whatnot, I got it in their first show. I loved Venom, I think that was my top Marvel book. I read Hickman's FF and enjoyed it... I think Secret Warriors will be the next marvel book I read, depends if Omnidog conviences me to have Blackcat jump infront of it or not. Finally its commonly said that DD has the most constant good runs in his books. I went with Frank Miller's run for the repsentation of DD in my collection.

Vader by Soule is killer, I myself prefer Gillen’s run but they are both great. You mentioned that you’re new to marvel, and as I am getting into Marvel myself I’d like to ask if you had any trouble with background knowledge on any of the books? Specifically Secret Warriors, Planet Hulk, Silver Surfer, and Venom.

That’s a great question! Most of the things I read were pretty self contained but some things I did have to get some context from some of my fellow comic book KZbinrs! Plus we live in the age of the internet so google was also a friend!

I’m surprised savage avengers didn’t make your list. Everyone seems to love that and have it on their list. I was sticking to dc this year so I only read a handful of marvel Omnis. Savage avengers, silver surfer by slott, miracle man and captain Britain. All were great. A lot of those on your list I read last year. If you haven’t read a lot of marvel then I would recommend reading Claremont’s X-men! You can skip the silver age stuff and just jump in with the first Claremont Omni. I would also recommend reading new mutants with it.

@@TBATB what were you thinking? You should at least give yourself the X-men experience once. Read the Claremont run and all the other x titles like new mutants and xfactor. I would also recommend to keep reading atleast to the end of age of apocalypse. Age of apocalypse and fatal attractions are my favorite X-men events/omnis but I know a lot of people love the Claremont run and it’s their favorite X-men run.
