Indian medical colleges may have few faults in infrastructure ( which is also improving) but it provides best clinical exposure and teachers, no doubt people from government colleges of India becomes some of the best doctors in world

University of California, Berkeley, itself, does not have a med. school; the UC SanFrancisco in SF is the nearest equivalent. The photo of Yale is not of the med school, the Cambridge U. med school is in a separate campus, about a mile away from CU., the Oxford photo is of the main library, Harvard's med school is in Boston.

If you are a domestic student, then u will have a lot of options like Financial aids, Scholarships, Federal loans, etc, however, for international students, there aren't many options.

Yes and no, all the students going to this university have A+, meaning nearly full marks anyways. in medical school they are not graded it is passed and failed in USA and Canada. 70% of the student get financial aid but most of them are domestic students also most of the universities listed don't even accept many international students. still, even if you are the top student it will cost you around half a million dollars with other costs included. the banks will only loan you if you have a credit history within the country or have parents or someone to sign on the loan as guarantors.

None of them. You can't get in. In the USA, med school is postgraduate study. i.e. you need a bachelor's degree to qualify for med school.

@@ojosamuel6708Almost all med school in the USA has the same model 1. Find a med school. e.g. John Hopkins, Harvard, Columbia, Duke etc. 2. Apply for the school. Read the application process and make sure you meet the requirements. Requirements vary for each university. Apply to multiple universities, just in case you did not get accepted. On average most candidates apply to 5-6 universities. 3. If you are called for an interview, you have been shortlisted. Prepare for the interview by reviewing interviews online. Learn what interviewers are looking for in candidates. 4. Attend the interview. 5. If you got an offer, consider accepting it. 6. Get your finance in order (loans etc). Med schools are not cheap! 7. Then the nightmare begins when you start your residency. In the USA, resident doctors work, on average, around 70-80 hours a week. 100 hours or more a week is not uncommon in some branches of medicine. Good luck!

@@ojosamuel6708 It doesnt matter what your bachelors degree was in, you need 1 year chemistry, 1 year biology, 1 year math, 1 year physic, 1 year english,1 year organic chemistry, and 1 year biochemistry(newly added). also your bachelors should be in the USA and Canada to be able to apply for medical school in USA or Canada, then you have to pass MCAT. if you are international student you will be paying a lot if you are domestic student you will pay less and can apply for loan.

No, transfers are only accepted in certain cases within the state in the USA or country in a few cases. you cant transfer if you study in Bangladesh. also, Bangladesh has a 6-year bbs system and the USA has 8 years MD system. your chance to transfer would be 0.00000001% you would be the first person to be able to do it in the history of Harvard university.

As a medical professional myself, Harvard and Yale are overrated. New innovations and new therapies are developed more in the West Coast than East Coast. California UCSF, UCLA, and Stanford are much better school than they are given credit for. John’s Hopkins however does deserve a lot of credit. If they are just talking about Universities, maybe. Mayo Clinic, University of Michigan, and Cleveland Clinic Medical School in my book have more credentials than the Ivy League credentials. Old school has the old reputations, but not innovations in my opinion.

Harvard and its hospitals get twice as much NIH research funding as Johns Hopkins, which gets twice as much as Stanford. Harvard publishes twice as many papers in top science journals as Stanford, which has the second most. Harvard has 214 members in the National Academy of Medicine, UCSF 122, Stanford 119, Johns Hopkins 114, Michigan 83, UCLA 61. Mayo has just 7 and Cleveland clinic has just 6.

AIIMS Delhi doesn't have the facilities on par with these universities. Also there are many other universities based in mainland Europe, China, Singapore, Japan which weren't included in the list. Not every University makes the effort to participate in world rankings. Therefore, always go with National rankings coz only those matter.

None of them. Med school in the USA is for postgraduates, i.e. you will need a bachelor's degree (in any field) before you can apply for John Hopkins, Havard, Yale etc. If you want to go to Med school in the UK, the typical entry is 3As in the A levels. Education is not cheap, at 20-30k pounds a year, and you need to study for 6 years. And you need to pay for living expenses as well.

There's no MBBS in USA. You need a graduation (Biology major would be recommended), following that clear MCAT exams and then apply for MD program (4 years), after that USMLE exam (License exam) and then complete residency. That's all. In total it will take 10-12 years and almost $200k.

AIIMS Delhi produces one of the best doctors in "INDIA" not because of the university itself but coz it selects the best of the best students india has to offer. Every year approximately 4-5 lacs students appear for AIIMS out of which only 100 gets selected and if u remove the convention of reservation then only 51 seats in Open Category. So it's the level of the students which makes it so prestigious not the level of education which it provides.
