As an NC State Alumni, thank you for making us #1! I was so nervous that it wouldn’t be, because there are so many great moments but when you think of the adversity the 83’ team went through just to make the tournament (Survive and Advance) and more and what they meant as a Cinderella team to not only basketball but underdogs everywhere, there is no greater team or moment! Well #1 is also a buzzer beater to win a national title and a huge upset to boot. Sprinkle in the legend of Jimmy V and it’s a deserving winner. But Jenkins should be #2 in my opinion. I think as time goes on that shot will move up these types of lists

How is nothing from Kemba on here? How many go-ahead baskets did he make in the final minutes of play. I think they may have been trailing in all but one or two games the whole tournament. Kareem is probably the greatest college basketball player of all time but I will never forget kemba and UConn’s tournament that year, it was the greatest performance I’ve ever seen. Kemba was simply amazing.

I’m STILL bitter about that 08 final. CDR, D. Rose, Dozier couldn’t make free throws for SH*T, Andre Allen tested positive for THC after the Elite 8 game. I’ve never cried over a sporting event. But as would-be alum (then sophomore), I fought back tears for at least an hour after that loss.
