What months can I see Northern Lights??
@AZ0986688 Жыл бұрын
@@lantran8967 September to April..in Northern Norway mainly..from april to september there is way too much light pollution, in mid summer there is 24/7 of sunlight..the Midnight Sun..But midwinter is the best time of course..even though we just a few weeks ago had maybe the most fantastic northern lights ever..all over Norway, away from city lights at least..all the colors were present, rare colors like blue, purple, red, yellow..most northern lights are simply green..but the experts say that we probably haven't seen the best ones yet, so a tip for Northern Lights safaris would be The city of Tromso waay north of the Arctic Circle. Join a skidoo safari up in the mountains and you are guaranteed to see great Northern Lights this year..when the weather is clear, not overcast!:)

I’m in northern Canada and we can see them regularly and very vividly as well. Our city is kind of in the middle of nowhere so there’s very little light pollution. Fort McMurray Alberta. In fact, we are in the middle of a dark sky preserve

I live in ANchorage and I see funny colors in the sky but it is always to cloudy. Always. And of course in the summer it does not get dark out. I have seen the Northern lights visiting North Dakota.

Since when can you see Northern Lights in Aberdeen? Seems like a very rare occurrence.
@TheTexanTraveler Жыл бұрын
I asked myself the same thing lol. I live in Texas but visited Aberdeen last year. I said WTF when Aberdeen made the list lol. I was there in March, definitely cold but no northern lights unfortunately. I do plan on visiting some friends in Norway next year though, so hopefully I get to see them.

Norway, and Iceland! But you have fantastic ones in Canada too, even Scotland and Denmark can see Northern Lights..but the most reliable I'd say is Northern Norway..and northern Sweden and Finland too..they are also great!
@An-kw3ec7 ай бұрын
Iceland is the best. Northern Scandinavia and Alaska have good spots with mild climate near the coast too. Northern Canada and Siberia are extremely cold in winter so only during summer.

Nonsense... Scotland, Denmark?? Do you know that North America is the southern most place to see the Northern Lights and we see aurora constantly in Northern Canada? I live in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. Check out the aurora belt/oval and you will know the facts.
