Brave Search is not software. Most browsers will let you go into settings and let you change the default search engine. If Brave Search is not offered as an option, you could just make it your home page in your browser.

I’d say mostly Bing. A few have their own indexes now. E.g., Brave, Mojeek. He says Qwant, but I thought that was Bing too.

Still you can try as many as you want those search engines but default google shows the best results. I mean much much better results than others... Now all are crazy about privacy but search engine should be ranked by it's search quality not their privacy... Same shit is with browsers rankings: mostly the better privacy the better browser but it should be ranked for another things not only privacy...

yeah, i tried some of the privacy focused search engines such as brave, but google always gives me good results and is faster tho i do use brave for my browser

Different users have differing hierarchies of features they value. Those are subjective. My position is that in general Google still gives the best results. Its web index is three times bigger than Bing's as of a few years ago. That’s a large part of why. However, if you value other things the other search engines are good enough for most purposes. If you value a minimum of political bias then you need to choose something other than Google. Yandex is currently the least politically biased.
