Silky is the one for me. I got an F180 Pro, then later I got a BigBoy Pro, then another F180 Pro as a backup because I am so happy with that saw. It fits in my pocket well. I put a paracord lanyard on it to hang out of my pocket to grab it easily and to hang it up on a hook, branch, etc. My first 2 folding saws were cheap ones from Canadian Tire and it is definitely worth it to spend the extra money on the Silky saws instead of getting the cheap one that don't cut as easily and don't last as long.

I find it comical and insulting at the same time that the initial picture of the BAHCO LAPLANDER saw (one of the best selling and probably most tested/proven) saws on the market didn't even get a mention and yet you use it to advertise this video at the very start!. Opinions are subjective and some would say the Laplander isn't that great while others would praise it greatly as I would, but here's the thing... for the budget, the test reviews on KZbin and it's proven track record... for a budget saw you'd be hard pressed to beat!...

thanks ima order the bahco, laplander, I always learn more in the comments , because of the non bias
@leedykes60653 жыл бұрын
@@ulisesguerrero4014 A really good decision... The Laplander is very compact, easy to carry and very capable for its size... it is not too expensive by comparison to the other similar folding type saws on the market. There is a video on you tube somewhere where a bush crafter tested the Laplander and bent the heck out of the blade and then straightened it right back and continued to saw with it. The expensive saw by comparison snapped. This was the video that finally convinced me even though I already knew of it's proven track record, the video made me say 'wow!'... and I immediately ordered one. For price, reliability, proven track record, blade quality and compactness... I think it is the best there is :-)

I have a bahco and a silky f180. The f180 is miles faster and a lot better quality for a very small increase in price.

Is nice that Silky PocketBoy is so short it can fit in smaller pockets, but I do have big enough pocket to fit in my Silky F180 Pro, so I'll stick to the longer blade, making it easier for cutting wider wood (branches, tree trunk).

The silky brand always deliver. I was very happy with my bhako, solid solid piece and compact but theres a next level for bigger pieces of wood and the silky ones, top notch. SOG is "meh"

This isnt a review its a showcase of the best saws available on the market. If your a smart shopper you should always start with top 5 or 10 and hit the reviews after one by one and make your decision from there.

Ya know, I'm not alone in despising people who simply go online and shop for specific item in order to make a video, often monetizing, without ever even testing or demonstrating why it's good or bad. Anyone could do that. That's why I for instance, will take your video and use the items you show and look for a more ethical creator who actually uses and demonstrates that item. Thumbs down.

I thought the same.. advertise the Silky lads, throw a Nordic in there because Silky don't do a chainsaw so it won't be competition. Stick in a SOG cause people will buy the Silky instead.
