@@captaintavish3888 yes I know, $800 million was paid for technology transfer in 2008 and Altay is almost a 70-ton tank while the K2 is 55-tonne. If Altay is a NATO tank, then the K2 is a classic asia pacific tank, there are many differences between them.

Didn't you guys tell us two years ago the T-14 was the superior tank??? Have you actually seen it in a combat situation??? Why haven't other countries bought the T-14??? I know, it is as good as the aircraft carrier that Russia has built. In WWII what made the T-34 the best tank, was the ability to produce a lot of them quickly. IMO the T-14 right now is a show tank and not enough of them to make a difference in any conflict, does not belong on this list!!!

You can rate the Russian tank any position! Russia is not building this tank! Reason to expensive! Instead they are upgrading T 72, 90, and it looks like T 62. You have to watch the videos or read the white papers on the state of the Russian military. Any info you have taken from the Russian military is not accurate. This is one area where all of these videos just lose creditability. Have you seen the footage of Russian Drones, they are using commerical cameras. Really? And where is Russia going to get the microchips to manufacture these high tech devices. Not China!

Its a major step up from previous Russian T series tanks like the T-90A, T-72B3s and T-80BVs but all honesty the soviet/russian t-series tanks were designed for yesterday's war and have pretty much reached as far as technology and research can keep them relevant .

But seriously, the only thing I agree with being outdated is the internal ammo storage in the crew compartment because it's so easy to detonate by top attack warheads. The armor is as good or better than on western tanks. The top armor is much better, especially on the frontal hull. Other upgrades, such as an APS are planned for the future, so the platform isn't holding anything back technologically.

The M1A2C Abrams belongs at the top of the list. The KF-51 Panther isn't in widespread service, so it really doesn't belong on this list. If you're going to include it, then the Abrams X should also be included.

Well there isnt much M1A2cs to begin with , of the 600 the US built i think only like 80 were upgraded to the M1A2c standards. The M1A1 makes up the backbone of the US tank fleet as majority of the original 105mm M1s were retired and are being kept in storage . The T-14 armata also doesnt belong on this list as of the 140 that were built only 35-40 are activily in service with the russian army and are assigned to some elite tank unit that u see on victory day. The other 100 tanks are older models used in development and research. I agree with the KF-51 . It shouldnt be here as not even a dozen have been made and its more than likely to not enter service anytime soon.

well not exactly. The Leclerc actually had better equipment since it already had a CITV (Commander's independent thermal sight) plus it also had a Digital Battle Manegement System with colored display maps on a TV screen inside the tank for the commander that shows reported enemy units on the TV screen, which increases situational awareness for the crew so they know where enemey reported targets are... This is something that the Challenger had always lacked, so at least in this category the Leclerc was always superior as it had much better situatuional awareness which is key on the modern battlefield. Also the Leclerc already had a turret bustle with blow-out-panels so that if the turret ammo was hit it would just blow outwards and not kill the crew, unlike the Challenger which still had no separate bunker at all, so if the ammo got hit it would risk the entire crew to be killed, just as it actually happened in one case where another Challenger hit and destroyed a friendly Challenger, killing the entire crew.... This friendly-fire incident could have been prevented if the Challenger would have had the same Digital Battlefield Manegement System that the Leclerc always had... But at least the new Challenger 3 will finally get all of these upgrades now, plus a new Active Protection System (APS) on top of that, so at least the new Challenger 3 will finally be better than the Leclerc (after 25 years of the Leclerc being superior all the time)....

I'd disagree but since we haven't seen it in action as it's still in production we should reserve judgement. The armta isn't like the old soviet design. It has hard kill and soft kill APS. And i believe it has 1000m protection against kinetic rounds. A tanks employment and strategy is more important. Russia just is using its tanks poorly. I'd say most all these tanks are pretty much equal it's tactics and support that'll make the difference. When you get hit in the top with a hellfire a few miles out it won't matter what tank you're in.
