Another good tip with the ranging in case the people don't have rangefinders....if you spot an animal with your binoculars. They show up on your map. Make a waypoint for it, and it will show the distance to the animal. :)

Onilrem the reason why this does not work any longer is because it was being abused MASSIVELY there's not skill there's no need for tracking it's just aim and shoot down lane and collect collect collect however, there are still some spots where you could still do this but they are nowhere near as profitable this one was, hence the reason those ones still exist

i mean i tried this and had something else happen, there was a bunch of roosevelt elk females just frozen, couldnt spook em if i tried. so i shot some, turned my back to the open, turned around and bang, another one spawned. i farmed it until i was standing too close and one of em gave me a headbutt, i died. still have no idea what caused this

For real. Glad it got patched up. That is clearly an exploit that takes absolutely zero skill to perform. If that is how people just play the game all the time they should uninstall tbh. It's completely counter intuitive to what hunting even is. I wouldn't even consider that hunting target practice would be more accurate. Where is the fun in shooting fish in a barrel. They don't run away you literally can't mess up #1 unless you got the IQ of a toddler. What's more important is you are never going to get better and hunt the big things if you just shoot animals that literally run in circles. You will never be able to track effectively to hunt the animals that actually matter.

My best and first moment in call of the wild is when I just started I was testing my calls and used a roe deer call 2 mins. Later a roe deer came by me and I shot it straight in the eye with a revolver

@@NefariousGoblin223 you see like wood planks on the floor, they are laid out in numerous locations. When u see one then u walk up and press (E) and it builds. However it costs 2100 so make sure you have the funds.

Nr 1 tip from me. remember to swap guns before harvesting trophies. If you need archery experience point you just swap before collecting animals. I've shoot animals at 250-400m with the 7mm rifle and collect them with archery xp bonus.

Hmmm that is good to know. They may have changed it with the update and i wasnt aware! It use to be dependent on the damage done per the shot. So if you had used a bow but finished it with your 7mm you would get score split according to the % of damage done on each shot directly linked to the info on the harvest screen. I will definatley go check this out to confirm! Ty my friend!! 🍻

Best thing to remember is to be patient. Your not always going to see something and if you do it may not die. If it does not die and you can't find it again don't get upset, carry on. Your not going to get better stuff if you ragequit all the time.

Another tip: don't chase an animal if you see it run. lol. of course you wouldn't do it in real life, i know that. but i was like "you know what, it's going downhill so maybe i can get a shot since it's a game" 10 seconds later the mule deer charged me and knocked me out lol

A good tip for people without a rangefinder is to use pings if you see a deer far off thats drinking at the lip of a lake than aproximate a ping and youll get a pretty good estimation of just how far they are

just a tip/story i have: one time i shot a whitetail from 8.2 meters. i was squatted and motionless. what actually happened was i left my xbox for about three or four minutes to go do something and came back to see a buck almost on me. couldnt believe it. i might have been using the bleat caller but not 100 percent sure. i may have been under some branches and not known it because i had a clear view of him but apparently he just couldnt see me. I know about halfway through you were talking about distances and whatnot so i figured i would share.

So I was having a ton of trouble with this game and my friend gave me 1 tip that changed everything. I'm still in the early game and for some reason I only come across bears and moose, in both cases I always go for the head shot and I never get a kill. Then my friend told me to start aiming for the lungs, which are right behind the shoulders. Now i get one hit kills every time and I actually enjoy the game. My poor penetration bullets couldn't break a skull aparently...

I'm vegan and I still love this game. mostly because no animals are actualy harmed, but it helps me nurture the inner primal hunter that I could never be in realife, for ethical reasons. Same reason I dont randomly kill cops in real life despite many hours playing GTA. :)

(12:39) One of the recent DLCs has a rangefinder bowsight that makes ranged shots way easier. I got a 110 meter shot on a lioness at a watering hole yesterday, forgot to switch from 420 to 600 gr broadheads though.

Ultimately decided to get the ATV DLC just for the sake of exploring the map faster, but regarding the tip about spooked animal returning in from 1 to 7 minutes...? They change that too? I'm only seeing it happen on about 1/3 of the animals I spook, the rest just don't come back around. Did get some good shots off the times that it has worked though.

I ended up getting it anyhow just to get around the map easier, and ya, you can actually hunt with it if you park and wait a bit for the spooked animals to return to where they were spooked from. doesn't always work, but more often than not it seems to. One of my biggest questions is how to call in some of the animals which seem not to have a call in game. Saw a guy calling in brown bear for example in another vid and not sure what call he was using, but I think it was the coyote caller. Might wanna bring that up in your next vid?

I wish the devs would put in the codex under noise metre, how much noise you’re generating from each bar of white/red noise. From what I’ve heard from one guy, is that the white bars are: 1-10m; 2-20m; 3-30m. And then the red bars are: 1-50m; 2-100m; 3-150m. I cannot find anything from the actual devs tho that states this to be true. I do know tho that even with animals within 30m or 20m, the 2 white bars won’t spook them.

Spam the calls it works everytime but make sure your hidden well because I got surrounded by Farrow deer and there happened to be 2 gold but no diamonds and definitely stay downwind I ended up killing at least 30 animals in about 20 min the bow is really good to use too for groups if they run off just call them back

I recently put the game back in because of new Yukon dlc coming up soon and was gonna do the glitch at the tunnel to get more money and experience but now it’s gone, oh well I don’t mind the being patient because that is what this game needs when waiting for the wild life to show themselves. Hello JaxyBeard. Nice tips and video. And you sounds like a fun and awesome dude. Kind of new to the game (played 3 times I think) I bought a tons of the free ammo for the .243. A bit later some better bullets instead of the free ones. Just curious. How do I change bullet type, so I go from the free to the new better bullet type in the rifle? Regards Krusty in Denmark.

Heya Krusty! When you are in the equipment locker goto storage. Move the ammo over to your bag. Then exit the equipment locker and go into your inventory. Make sure to equip the rifle and the goto ammo. Move the ammo you would like to use (in this case polymer tips) to the gun. Hope that helps!!

But guess maybe they are trying to mimic real life movements and scenarios so it's not a ton of different ammo you carry, and an assigned key to change ammo. But you leave unnecessary stuff at home. And also do the movement with pointer instead of simply one keystroke.
