TOP 10 Best Volleyball USA Opposites Spiker | Women's USA Volleyball
The United States women's national volleyball team participates in international volleyball competitions and friendly games, and is governed by USA Volleyball. The current head coach is three-time Olympic gold medalist and retired dominant beach volleyball professional Karch Kiraly.
Before 2014, the United States women's national volleyball team had achieved second place six times in major competitions (1967 World Women's Volleyball Championship, 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games, 2002 World Women's Volleyball Championship, 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, 2011 World Cup, 2012 London Olympic Games) but had never reached the top. In 2014, the team had a breakthrough to capture its first-ever major title by defeating China in the World Women's Volleyball Championship final.

I have always admired Fawcett and her game. She had always been so consistent no matter how the team plays. And Hooker was the best opposite they ever had in my opinion. I havent seen anything close to her level. The rest are all good and that but Hooker was something else. Especially around 2010-2012.

Destinee Hooker still remains THE best opposite spiker in the women's volleyball. Although Egonu may rival her, she is still nowhere near Hooker's precision, leaping ability, consistency, leadership and viciousness. She's the best opposite player the USA and this world ever had. It's also worth noting how under-utilized Nicole Fawcett was, it's a shame Karch Kiraly didn't bring her to Rio on 2016 when it is she and Karsta Lowe who has been playing well and consistent for the Americans. Kelly Murphy was supposed to be done that year, 2014 and 2015 saw the best performances of Fawcett and Lowe and Murphy was on decline but still, with favoritism, Karch cut her from the team and decided to go crazy with Murphy. Even starting with her in Rio. The proof of Karch's failure came in 2018 when they did not enter the top 4 at the World Championship. That year, he knew that Carli Lloyd and Kelly Murphy are so done and had to be disposed in favour of Jourdyn Poulter, Micha Hancock, Annie Drews and Jordan Thompson. With the current line up the USA has, it's going to be another fruitful decade for them, maybe even better. Hopefully, they win the Gold at the Olympics later this year.

USA needeed 1 extra ordinary player like Boskovic and Mihaljovic in Serbia,Egonu in Italy,Erakurt in Turkey,or Zhu Ting on China
