Stay away from anything that has several different attachments and screws apart! If you’re wearing a helmet wear one that offers ballistic protection not a plastic bike helmet. Buy a decent flash light olights explode. Buy quality

I disagree with the tactical helmet part. A hat or a full body suit might as well be better. You don’t want to be mistaken for soldier and get shot just because you want to travel from point A to point B. I am surprise that you did not include range weapon selection into this list. If all hell break lose then you definitely need something to protect yourself. Range weapon such as fire arm and hunting bow or crossbow is something great to have.

It is refreshing to see headgear identified as an item to have for a WW3 scenario. It’s critical and often overlooked. But you will be able to find plenty of better grades of headgear than the item in the video and awful event described. Until you can afford a genuine military combat helmet, I suggest a semi-open motorcycle helmet, climbing helmet, bicycle helmet, hockey helmet with shield, or a fireman’s helmet to protect the noggin.

7:55 Bro don't be recommending folding mechanical knives as survival knives. Full tang bowie, tracker, or hunting knives with a minimum of 8 inch length and quarter inch thick blades made out of 1095, D2, Sk5 or Sk85 steel. That folding knife is trash.

It depends on the quality and mechanism of the locking. I have a great folder that can do anything that a full tang can do, and folds up. With that being said, you have to do things like battoning it losely, and can't hold it like you would hold a full tang, and most foldies are cheaper knives

Where did you get that length? 5" is plenty, you've been watching to much Rambo. And there are some really great folding knives that will get the average person through who isn't being a total moron with their knives, like trying to chop thru a brick or stick them in a tree and then stand on them. Finally, all your knife snobbery is horsecrap as MOST people just trying to get through and not be some John Wick Ninja Killer could do just fine with a $14 Mora. And it ain't any of those steels you or I listed AND I triple dog dare you to trash Mora publicly. 8". Jeezus on a crutch.

That's one of the worst knives not only for surival, but for any kind of use. You should have put a fixed blade, that would be at least 4-5inch blade, not super hard steel and a grind for general use, like Saber Flat or full flat grind at least.
