before the introduction of bucket seats, the Salt lake stadium used to hold 1,00,000+ spectarors on a daily basis on derby matches in Kolkata. It was the second largest at that time. One derby match witnessed 1,31,000 fans turning up in the stadium, watched my beloved East Bengal Club thrashing arch rivals Mohunbagan 4-1 in front of that gigantic crowd. #joyEastbengal ❤💛
