Garrett continues to impress with sportsmanship and class, where most players would insta muck and/or be tilted from getting called on his bluff, he calmly asks if Lucky wants to see his hand and tables it without comment, giving him the "nice hand" tap. Very levelheaded from a true class act.
@majlo2132 жыл бұрын
saying "you got it" after getting called and not mucking is kind of shady, altough garrett is a nice guy so i doubt it was an angle, he was probably shocked a little by the very quick call

Anyone able to explain why Tom won an ace when Dylan had a pair. What does it mean to 'counterfeit'. New to world of poker so would appreciate some help understanding!
@jayweber53712 жыл бұрын
Imagine having pocket 3s. Board comes 55 J 10 10. Ur opponent has ace high and u lose. Becuz it's best 5 card hand and the ace plays. That's being counterfeit. The board made your pair irrelevant
@Nosirt2 жыл бұрын
In a 5 card poker, you can only have 2 pairs with 1 kicker. You cannot have 3 pairs. Dylan had pair of 3- but the board showed pair of 8 and 10 with 6. This means both pair of 8 and 10 is higher than 3, so Dylan actually now has 2 pair, 10s and 8s with 6 kicker (playing the board) while tom has 2 pair, pair of 8s and 10s with ace kicker (from his AK). When your pair gets down graded to the “3rd highest pair”, that’s called counterfeit. If Dylan had pair of 9s or better, then he would have won because pair of 9 is better than 8, so his pair would play while tom would have lower 2 pairs.

These guys losing 150k or 200k and getting bummed but still smiling and rebuying... I mean side from the Tom Duan or Phil Ivey for characters.. like what does Krish do that he can just point 140k like that? Or how much is Wesley worth? Or how much Garrett is worth it what they all used to do to have that much money? I'm dying to know their occupation or background. 🤷🏻♂️

@johnross91182 жыл бұрын
I wonder if he put them both on a bluff and was trying to represent QJ since he held the Q blocker. Maybe he was trying to get a lower straight or a middle set to fold. He leads into 3 players with bottom pair str8 draw, gets raised, gets reraised, then.... rather then insta-muck his rags, decides to ship with his bottom pair and a gutter on the scariest flop ever with a bunch of loose donkeys in the pot (no offense).... who happen to be pot committed. Maybe he was quite sure they were both just getting frisky raising weak. Maybe he was simply tired and didn't notice the action that came before him... not sure. Regardless, great hand. I don't know how many times I got caught reraising myself into quads.

Lucky isn't a professional or regular player. They're fortunate to have him in the game. The idea that he has to follow "etiquette" is ridiculous. He's there to provide money, and when he wins a big pot he should be given every encouragement to feel he's the birthday boy getting a free ice cream and all the servers singing him a song. If Garrett wants to play poker with someone like Lucky he knows very well that he has to cater to his unsophisticated understanding.

I nvr understood making a player show his hand. Its a needle and it can ultimately only hurt you. I saw a 15k pot get shoved the other way because the guy who called wanted to see the guys hand. The guy who thought he loss didnt realise there was a 4 liner on the board and his 8 of spades made the straight. If the other guy had rolled his hand over and shut up abd let the guy muck tgen he would have won a 15k pot which he loss with a set of 9s. The information you get from him showing his hand isnt worth it and you ultimately get that same info by him instantly saying you win. If he doesnt want to show and instantly says you win without seeing your hand, then he was obviously bluffing.
