Yay!!!!!!!! I've been waiting for you to drop your 'best of' so I can see how many books I should add to my tbr and you came THROUGH!!!! Okay, first off, yessssss!!! Your voice is back. So happy to hear that. It sounded like your voice really hurt so having you sound bright and chipper makes me so happy! I have had Red Rising on my tbr for a while and now I'm going to push it a little bit higher. And I am definitely reading Name of the Wind this year because of just how much you rave about it. I know I said it when you unboxed it in your vlog but I will say it again: that collector's edition is GORGEOUS!!!!! The Cruel Prince YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! I LOVE THAT BOOK! Urgh! My copy of wicked king hasn't arrived yet and I am so impatient to read it and actively trying my damndest to avoid ALL spoilers. Oooh. Nevernight is high on my list as well. I had to skip your thoughts on it cuz I want to enter it blind but what I was able to catch about a girl set on revenge has me SOLD! The crown's game sounds really intriguing. I WANT IT!! Urgh! I tried getting the seven realms boxset on amazon but they're scarce and are going for $148.90 which has me going nope. I will just get them in single pieces. Oooh. Down among the sticks and stones made it to a lot of people's best book of the year so I am definitely intrigued. Yesssss!!! The Diviners is a series I want to read so I know I am on the right track. Hahahahahaha. I knew KoA would make that list. Totally!!! And last Namsara!!! Yessssssss!!! This book really is high on the books I want to read this year and it's all thanks to you. Thank you! My favorite book of 2018 is the grimdark military fantasy epicness that is The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang. That book has my heart, my soul, my very being. I have dissolved into nothingness and cannot wait for the second book in the trilogy: The Dragon Republic which is coming out in August (it was formerly March but R.F. Kuang said the book is bigger, better and *sigh*) I will wait for a millenia for a chance to see the love of my life Rin again! Great video as always Brittany. I picked up The Demon King at the end of 2018 and OMG! Finished the first two books very quickly and I can already tell you it is my favorite series. I also have Nevernight and keep putting it off because of how badly I want to read it... totally makes sense. So many of the books I read are based off of your book recommendations. :D I asked for Name of the Wind for Christmas and I ended up buying it for myself. However, someone else actually bought it for me so now I have two copies!

I read Every Heart a Doorway last weekend and IT'S FANTASTIC. THE AUDIOBOOK IS AMAZING. also, like you've said, it's DARK but also really sad at some parts... I can't wait to continue on with the series! 💙

It's now CHECKED that we have almost the exact same taste in books! The Cruel Prince, Nevernight, The Crown's Game, The Last Namsara... they're all the books that are MY absolute favorites too! The rest are not included just because I haven't read them! But they're some of my most anticipated reads. The Last namsara is not appreciated enough, right? But the little story snippets were so incredible. It was one of my faves from 2017, read it as soon as it came out. I'm so happy that we coincide so much! KINGDOM OF ASH AHHH. I need to finish this series, I'm just so afraid.

The Name of the Wind is one of my absolute favorite books! 💕 I also have a lot of love for The Diviners series, The Wayward Children series, and The Last Namsara. Looks like you had a fantastic read this year! My favorite read this year... maybe a tie between Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, the Diviners, or SoC. It's so hard to pick. If you loved The Name of the Wind, I'd highly recommend Brandon Sanderson's books for more adult high fantasy. Looking forward to following your 2019 reading year. :)

Great video! & right there with you for Throne of Glass, I started it when I was a Jr in high school and just finished it this week (aka my Senior year of college) I feel like I grew up with the characters. Except for when I realized on like page 600 or something that all 7 books in the series happened within the span of ONE YEAR!
