There actually is a different between the pronunciation of Nikolaj. Jake is pronouncing the 'k' like all native English speakers do. However instead of a pronouncing the 'k' as "ck," the 'k' is pronounced as 'sch.' Jake puts two syllables in the name, when in fact there's only one. It's still hilarious though.
