Top 10 Cancelled LEGO Sets and Themes!

There's been many cancelled LEGO sets, from lines like LEGO Star Wars, LEGO City, and LEGO Ninjago. But, there's even some LEGO themes that have never been released. Like, LEGO Mafia Gangsters, LEGO Seatron, and even a LEGO Phineas and Ferb set. Yeah, ever heard of those? Well, to end off 2015, I'm listing the 10 most interesting cancelled LEGO sets and themes! The gangsters "violin case" is actually a very clever inclusion. There have been records of gangsters in the 70s and 80s using rather silly methods to hide their money from the police. A violin/guitar case being the most common

Honestly, my favorite lego sets were and still are the Power Miners line, but by the time I was old enough to be able to earn money through chores and doing work for my neighbors to buy the sets, they had been discontinued. I miss those sets so bad. Hopefully theyll make a comeback! ;w;

I don't see why a gangster theme couldn't have worked. All they had to do was not focus on the prohibition part and focus more on the cops and robbers aspect or market it as an old fashioned town. Gangsters are about as kid friendly as real pirates are, but they still make pirate sets. They've since done alien gangsters and the detective office so maybe they'll revisit this theme.

I think it's just because the whole concept of 1920s gangsters is that they were dealing alcohol. With alien gangsters, you can just make up a fictional substance, but that's not really the case with a more realistic portrayal. As far as pirates go, the concept of a pirate is more or less a thief. Thievery is a much more kid friendly concept compared to illegal drug trafficking.

Lego just need to change the name and give even marketing to the cops and the gangsters maybe call it Lego Gangsters or Lego 20’s then avoid the alcohol aspect do stuff like bank robberies, jail breaks, car chases and maybe a hideout set that has a bar but it’s empty

At 4:40, that looked like a LEGIT set, the one with Spiderman's phase I outfit, and it even included "Macho Man" Randy Savage's character, Bonesaw. If that came out, it would have so been mine.

Matthew Bolas it would not surprise me to someday see that one return as a Ninjago D2C with Power Functions. While not releasing it via regular retail, the idea would work as a more niche D2C but was years before Ninjago showed up there.

I don't get how a Lego prohibition theme would be too inappropriate for Lego to do when they had lego gangsters and literal Lego nazis with the Lego Indiana Jones theme. Just make sure the police are a big aspect to the theme too and hardly anyone will complain.

I think the reason Lego didn't sell the fangpire (hope that's spelled right) train was because it wasn't quite TV series accurate, because if you have seen the show, you know it wasn't a train train, but more a giant articulated tour bus.

Yeah, but that probably won't happen now considering the series is now cancelled (although the comic con spiderman and the toys r us electro exclusives probably meant Lego considered making the theme, but decided not to for some unexplained reason, and it probably didn't because their decision was made before any sets were created) let's just hope for mcu spiderman sets

So if you notice from the pizzeria at 11:54 it looks similar to the pizzeria in lego island. Not to mention the logo is exactly the same as the lego island pizzeria and lego has never released that sticker before. So either the lego island pizzeria is loosely based off the village or vice versa.

Just wanna clarify, Phineas and ferb was not cancelled. It ended because the creators felt like they had exhausted their ideas and didn't want the series to go on forever, and instead chose to go out strong. It was ended by choice, not by Disney cancelling it. But its coming back with 2 new seasons.

+Calafrio The Ice Lord The new Bionicle is pretty good in my opinion. The sets have a lot of complexity and they never left behind the concept of the island villagers, like the Protectors and Matoran. Great franchise.

The Lego system Holiday Village looks a lot like Lego Island, which was released in 1997. The set was in the catalog in 1996. Lego Island was in development in 1996. So essentially, *it's a Lego Island Set*.

I'm surprised the Snake Train never got released again, since the Lego Ninjango movie that released in theatres and now on DVD. Would have been a cool exclusive for the Ninjango movie sets as a buy through the mail memorabilia. Like what they did with the Harry Potter dvds. Where they gave you a mini catalog to buy certain items from the movie. I don't know, missed opportunity. That snake train looked awesome.
