Often times, when making lists like this, the banned cards (which are generally considered to be too broken and overpowered to be allowed to be used a a duel) wind up placing higher up on the list because of how powerful they are. Most of the cards that made it onto this list are banned, and therefore could be argued to be "too good" for the current meta right now.

Basically every card game is like this. Spending LP on good effects gets your board in a better state than your opponent's, which means they will not be able to damage you enough to win while you can because you spent those LP on an above-average effect. Yu-Gi-Oh! does take it a bit further than most games.

Assuming the average CMC of a card in an MTG library is 3, I would translate it "Pay 2500 Life Points; pay 1500 Life Points any number of times, then draw that many cards and show them to your opponent." If you wanted to change it to be _slightly_ more balanced for yugioh, lose 2500 LP per card draw (pot of greed for 7500LP).

damn i didn't expect how much of a difference 1 level can make (magical scientist). There are 71 level 6 fusion monsters. That's more than the level 1-5 ones combined. So just by being able to use monsters 1 level higher, you would have over double the targets(in this case)

Weird list idea: Top 10 cards that enable (or perhaps directly cause) FTKs. Examples: Galaxy Wave Rank 4 Turbo Zoodiac+Utopia/Utopic can equal up to 7500 damage in one turn *without recycling* Temple of Kings Any FTK deck that revolves around activating a Trap on your first turn needs this card or an equivalent to be an FTK. Imperial Iron Wall* (*then again, requires Temple of Kings or such to be an FTK) Cards balanced around Banishing themselves no longer Banish themselves . (e.g. Quillbolt Hedgehog, SPYRAL Quik-Fix) Toon Cannon Soldier / Mass Drive Infinite tribute fodder equals infinite damage (e.g. Ronintoadin and the two mentioned above), especially Toon Cannon Soldier because it is so easily searchable even if it requires summoning. That Grass Looks Greener / Reasoning Infernoids + Flame Spirit Ignis = 1000s of damage multiple times per turn. Black Garden Giving your opponent a Token each time you summon easily sets up cards like Earthbound Immortal - Aslla Piscu and Gem-Knight Lapis Lazuli. Exchange of the Spirit Funnily enough, even with balancing it is still rather viable in the OCG due to the effects of the Mekk-Knight field spell. Darklord Nurse Reficule / Bad Reaction to Simochi Healing your opponent for 8000 Life Points can be pretty easy with cards like Gift Card, as long as you count winning during your opponent's Standby Phase as an FTK Sky Striker Mecha Modules - Multi Roll If your opponent cannot respond to your key spell cards then they may be unable to stop any FTK that revolves spell cards. Royal Magical Library Drawing infinite cards as long as you have a steady flow of Spells to activate or recycle. Catapult Turtle Tribute a super high ATK monster like Gren Maju for an FTK. Secure Gardna Effects that would cause you or both you and your opponent damage now cause you no damage. Could also go for Top 10 cards that help prevent FTKs. Like Nibiru, Effect Veiler... but it would essentially be a Top 10 Hand Traps list.

In Duel LInks I have my Psychic Blade almost in every deck - you can pay from 100 to 2000 LP to turn it into ATT for one monster. So XYZ summon Malevolent Sin, use its effect to banish a monster, give it 2000 boost in attack and OTK an opponent

Yes, some decks use the banished zone as a second gy, but doesn't a metaphys deck use the banish zone as a second deck/hand or something? lol

I'll never understand how having only one normal summon balances anything when you're *expected* to be able to special summon out a dozen monsters at any given moment.

I'm not an expert at all, so I very well might be wrong, but I think Briliant Fusion was good because it was yet another extender with a body. Sure additional normal summon has some benefits, but I believe Briliant Fusion would see more-less same amount of play if Seraphinite special summoned one from the hand, while Double Summo is rarely used because it doesn't put body on the field

I'd like that OCG design of Ultimate Offering, I just got the original TCG launched and even is too a great desing, I thought that since 2001 with my starter Decks.

When was the alt card art for ultimate offering for brought out because I've never seen it before. Also, if ultimate offering & brilliant fusion were banned for giving two multiple normal summons then why wasn't' double summon banned as well, did it somehow slip under the radar or something?
