"Yope!" Is the pronunciation, with a bit of a "w" sound before the p. I always yell it because of the exclamation, but that's just me. 🤣 Chrome Aqua my fav of the line too. Very much attached to Chrome Sport, but Aqua beats it by just a hair.

"Yope" is a fairly good idea of how to pronounce "Joop". The doubling of the "o"s in german just means a simple pronunciation prolongation of the "o" (spelled like the "o" in - for example - "boring"). Colleague Gents Scents does it better. Come on Tommy, it's not really that difficult. :)

Great list, Tommy. Trying Joop Homme Ice for the first time today. Blind bought it and got it in last week. Not sure how often or when I will reach for it, but I think it is an excellent value. I picked up Chrome Aqua early last year and I share your love for it. I mostly reach for it in the Spring and Summer but I agree that you could easily rock it year-round.

I returned Hollister Wave 2 to Shoppers Drug Mart here in Canada a few years ago they don't take return now lol, I found it very watery and weak conversely I found Joop Ice has much too much of the plum note and leather coming in after, The rest of these I love they're great.

I love SF a Essenziale Blu and Nautical Voyage. Ash at Gents Scents also praised Joop Homme Ice. Interested in that one, as well as both Azzaro on your list. Wearing Original Penguin Original Blend today. I would argue it warrants consideration for this list. Vastly underrated. My wife loves it!

Tommy, at the risk of hijacking your comments for an off topic request, I have one for you. My 18 year old is getting a bit into dressing nice, fragrance, etc. and he is a car JUNKIE! The only frag he bought for himself is Ford Mustang. I don’t care for it at all and feel like I can gift him better. On a whim, I bought him Ferrari Bright Neroli for his birthday. Had not smelled it. He loves the bottle, but I think the unisex scent is a little too feminine for him. Maybe should have grabbed Radiant Bergamot, but discounter only had a no cap tester and I needed full presentation. So...you get the ask, love a best of the car brands review, if you are up for it. Thanks for what you do!

Cool water intense I picked up after TLTG reviews presented it as a favorite on multiple lists, it is nothing short of fantastic! Nothing you'd expect when you see the name cool water but definitely everything you want! Well worth the money... the longevity is great

As I mentioned in your Green Fragrance video, I just picked up the flankers to Banana Republic Classic... CLASSIC Green & Vlassic Acqua.... Banana Republic Classic Acqua is a subtle fragrance that gets you an EDP fragrance of 120mls at 19.99 that would fit well on this list

Acqua by Jeanne en Provence - is a great super cheapie here in France (ie sub 10 euros/100ml), kind of like Kenzo PH. CK2 by Calvin Klein - while not an aquatic in the traditional sense is just a phenomenal fragrance, so unique, I absolutely love it. Prices climbing though as it's discontinued yet people seem to like it (weird decision COTY/CK!), you might find a 50ml below $25.

I just tried a sample of Azzaro Solarissimo Marettimo it is next on my list I really like it I have 2 Fragrances that are good Aquatic options and both under 25 on Frag X Agua Brava Azul by Antonio Puig and Laguna by Salvador Dali.

Nautica Blue Ambition is an underrated fragrance in my opinion. Sure it's synthetic, but I love the soapiness of it. And Nautica Midnight Voyage is my favorite discovery of last year. Like Sauvage and Voyage had a baby. lol But seriously, I love it. I also think Kenneth Cole Blue is a good aquatic cheapie.

I’ve searched for a long long time for a signature scent ( just a daily easy reach ) and I just can’t find it. I’ve spent so much money and have a pissed off wife lol 😂 and still don’t have a signature scent. I just blind bought YSL l’homme Ultime ( not realizing it was semi sweet ) !! There is only one sweet fragrance that I absolutely love and that’s Zara Rich Warm Addictive. I wish I could wear that scent all damn year. I don’t know why but I love that scent. I love tobacco fragrances though so that may explain it. But now it’s getting warm and I need some good summer freshies

@@raphael9197 I actually didn’t care for it ( at first ) I loved the smell but didn’t care for it on me. If that makes any sense at all lol ! However after selling mine I missed it and just bought it again and I am getting to were I really like it. As I age my scent profile changes. One of my favorite colognes “fragrances” is YSL L’homme. I couldn’t stand it at first and now I love it. I even have backup bottles. But imo Profumo is super solid

im not a big fan of aquatic (oceanic/sea salty/driftwoody) fragrances. I dont like that calone, or maybe its cascalone aromachemical smell that most give off. some aquatic scents are fishy (aqua atlantique) or seaweedy. i have two cheapies Curve Appeal, Nautica Voyage; Two super cheapies Bod Man Surf and Fresh Guy; and my fave Hawas. I also own Versace Man Eau Fraiche which gives off a subdued aquatic vibe and CK 2 which smells like beach sand/wet beach pebbles or stones.
