There is also Lille because it is a city in the center of Europe, 2 hours from Paris (59 min by train), 1 hour from Brussels (37 min by train) or London at 1 hour by train

Thank you for your insightful videos. We are retired (I taught English), with modest income from pensions, social security, and our rented condo in Portland, Oregon. We just completed four months in Lviv helping a new school open. And we fell in love with the ''old-town" look of Lviv and Krakow. Where would you recommend that we begin our search for an apartment in France? My wife has MS, so healthcare and air conditioning is critical. Thank you!! Dean & Cindy

Grenoble lies in a beautiful mountain scenery (the only large city in the Alps with Innsbruck, Austria) BUT it unfortunately also displays one of the highest crime rates in France...

A few tips for people wishing to come visit ! - you are more than welcome, but please learn a few polite sentences ! From what i know and have heard or read from tourists, frenchies appearing rude usually links up to the tourist not trying to at least speak a few words in french. Saying hi, please, excuse me, thank you and goodbye are necessary here, otherwise you pass as extremely rude yourself, and lacking basic manners. It is part of the most important things children learn when they learn to talk, and a huge cultural thing over here. If you don't, you might simply not get an answer. - It's common sense, but please don't forget you are in a real city, not a postcard ? Like, people live here, you can't just block a bridge in the center of a city for 10mn to take selfies, come on 🥲 - As in other big touristic places : keep your belongings close to you, and don't trust people who are not in uniforms (aeroports, train stations...). - We have generally good public transportations for not so much money, don't hesitate to find a place in a city near the one you're targetting, it'll be less expensive (also, we don't use taxis) ;) - [in a corporate awkward voice] Due yo political turmoil, please check beforehand if a major strike is planned when you come ? There usually is replacement, but it can really affect your trip. - Tourism offices ! We have one in each city, they offer free advice and infos about where to find cool stuff and place to live your best tourist life :D - Paris is not France ! You'll find a bunch of cool and different places to visit and get sparkly eyes all over the country. - enjoy ♥︎
