There were a couple of maps I'd never seen and was genuinely surprised they aren't more popular. Hopefully this video picks up and we get more of these! :)
@LordDragox4122 жыл бұрын
That's the curse of the workshop - unless your track gets highlighted in the "Most Popular Levels in the past week", no matter how good it is, nobody will play it. And to get there, you have to create a lobby and hope enough people will join and play the track in the span of around 3 days so that the track gets popular enough and snowball from there. It's really disheartening when you spend a lot of time on a track, only for it to get buried. By making a lobby to shamelessly self-promote my tracks (which is something I hate doing) for 2-3 hours after releasing a level, I've had 50-100 players play my tracks. On a track that I've self-promoted, but not many people visited the lobby and the track didn't get into the most popular section, I've only got 20 plays. But on a track where I've decided to no longer self-promote at all, I've got only 1 person to play the track. Steam Workshop is great and all, but it really sucks as a place to post levels. Unless you self-promote or are extremely lucky, levels just get buried and forgotten. Oooor it could be because my levels suck. Which they do. But hey, at least they're pretty...ish! >:P

@@LordDragox412 That's how a lot of my early maps got popular. I would just host lobbies with mainly my maps.

Billy's city tour deserves its own video, there are a lot of different paths you can take.
@CouchPotator2 жыл бұрын
what's funny is that the most obvious and easiest path for the first half (the one taken in this video) is also the fastest (well, maybe the shortcut on that path is faster with skill, but that's also the most obvious and straight forward shortcut) (first half ends at the drop before the right turn into the tollbooth, all first half paths converge there)

I really love this video style! And the tracks themselves were beautiful! Cogtown, Escher City, and drowning city were beautiful maps. I recently got into this game, and really want to get on top of making maps for it, it looks like there's so many possibilities, especially after the two years of updates since this video.

I have a new track build theme for you guess. It would be a really cool idea if everybody found a cool workshop track and showcase it as the weekly track build. The theme would be called "workshop showcase". The concept is like Scrapman's Workshop Olympic video but for Zeepkist tracks. It would be a cool video that hasn't been done for your weekly video with Scrapman, Kan, and Dapper. Hopefully you'll use this idea or at least get some ideas from this concept.

I like the idea of the video Cosmo. Some of the tracks didn't get done justice because they were not given enough time. I'd definitely say test them first, and then maybe see how much time you should set the lobby to so that we viewers can see the track completed :)

Happy City is there :) It was made for an open world theme so that's why the path is a bit confusing. Also DR is my initials but you can say my name however you want
@FUGP722 жыл бұрын
I really think that the 4 guys should make this a weekly thing. Instead of building their own track, showcase their favorite tracks of others. win win situation. More content with less work, since just picking a track should take less time than building one. And some other creators get their tracks showcased on decently popular KZbin channels which should give them a boost. Which also helps the game grow.

you know what would be neat is a track where you go over the same part of track twice, but the first time you don't have the speed to pass a speed check so you have to go into a side track that loops back around after giving you some more speed so you can pass the speed check to get to the next section
