This was fun- thank you for having me!! This is as close as I come to attempting to play classical repertoire

It must have been so hard not to default to the mashup version of Ronda Alla Turca…

I'd say his Moonlight Sonata sounds more jazzy than ragtime. But It's also the one I'd want to listen to again the most!

Yes, Scott is the creator and mastermind of PostModern Jukebox but he also has his own personal channel that rocks with his renditions of so many great songs!!! I'm a longtime fan! So excited to see him on here!

The technology that turns the keys red as you touch them is really neat and helpful.

There are keyboards with lights for each key but here it seems like the red lights are being added in post-production as computer generated visual effects. You can see it by the fact that the lights are only visible in the overhead camera angle as opposed to in all different shots.

This was really cool! Scott is a great pianist and ragtime is a very fascinating genre!

Just discovered Scott and his amazing talent. Falling in love with him in the process. It's a great feeling to find someone so inspiring amidst so much chaos in the world. I literally cannot get enough of him right now. Never stop doing what you do. You're bringing so much delicious goodness into the world!

What would you advise: learning piano and singing together or learning separately first? I notice that singing and playing the piano is still too much for my consciousness. I have been playing the piano for 5 years, but recently I wanted to take up singing as well.

Rondo alla turca is basically already ragtime lol you hardly notice when he makes it more ragtime

I dig it and don't at the same time. Moonlight Sonata and Fur Elise didn't deserve the ragtime treatment.

@@ShadyNetworker Just speaking for myself, I know everyone's taste is different. But it was like taking the Mona Lisa and then painting a mustache on it.

Mozart would have gotten a kick outta this, but Beethoven would be choked.
@AVspectre7 ай бұрын
@@droidknight847With a painting, you would be altering the original to create the new version. Here he is simply adding an additional version. That’s part of the fun of creation. If you took a digital version of the Mona Lisa and put a moustache on it, it wouldn’t change the original painting. There are probably mugs etc you could buy right now with that image. I totally understand having preferences. That’s all good. 😊 I just think that adding other versions doesn’t take away from the default. It can help other people discover it or connect with it in a new way. It’s fun to experiment 🙂 But I totally appreciate preferring the sound of the original composition.

This is great. But it's not "ragtime." It's stride. There is a difference.
@Siraj-123-q5p7 ай бұрын
To be specific, its a particular form of ragtime. So ragtime can be used as an umbrella term for that
