I think linemen should run the same “fitness” but do different conditioning, when I played community football Both the linemen and skill positions would run 5 full field laps and 8 40s then the running backs would do agility reps, linemen going to do some firing off drills and blocking then the receivers would run there routes and do speed drills. All the drills we did would always be fast and we would have to work hard, our team when 12-0 and won the provincial championships that season and I think it’s from all the conditioning we did and that our linemen could put run ( time wise not speed ) most receivers on other teams

At my school the line pads were so nice and easy to get on but the receivers couldn’t wear them because the pads on the arms would hold them down

I'm so happy i've never had to deal with a screaming coach, I play in the UK so they want people to keep playing so they do the fun stuff and dont scream, and i'm so glad i've ever dealt with it. I've only been playing for like 2 years but i dont think i would have developed as much as i have had if I had coaches yelling at me for mistakes

I go to a small school and our freshman team has 16 players and I love having a small team because everybody is close and everyone plays a lot both ways but I do understand having lineman running the same distance in conditioning as running backs but when you play 90% of snaps through a game it gets tiring and wears on you and our team also has the problem with wide outs having lineman pads and helmets that are8 years old but you use what you have and play the game that we all love

I really hate it when coaches are trash talking. From player to player it's something else but getting hate from the coach just demotivate you.

Last year for 7th grade football, my coach always focused on conditioning, and didn’t care about actually making us better in terms of play execution. And he would always yell at us if we messed up which made us feel like we were not a good football team.

My team is called the gray hounds so think about how that practice goes. we can’t walk on the grass and no steps between stretches. They always say “hussle hussle” or “act like a greyhound”

Well I’m a center and I was out because of a complication with my toe so they brought in like 3 more centers so if I went back to center that would be idiotic because then there would be 4 centers and 4 tackles that are not very good so I want to switch deep in the season so there’s less competition and so the team does better and the stance I get in is more comfortable so I can preform better

Final game of my season we had pass pro and our playbook is when the ball is thrown we have to run until the players tackled so we’re in our end zone practically our QB threw it and I had to run the whole Canadian football field if I didn’t have the same conditioning as skill players I’d be dead

Yelling is good or bad because it pisses me off and pumps me up so.

It is the delivery of the yelling that speaks, "I know you can do better." Or it speaks, "You are terrible." Always end the constructive criticism with a positive. Know your players, some respond to different types of motivation.

I disagree with the yelling bit, Coaches yelling shows they actually care about the game, it shows a bit of emotion, image game day where you coach walk to to you and just says "Hey buddy, you wanna go in?" No, it's "(Insert Player name) Get in!!!!"
