You said it yourself... Lanning's acquiring talent at a higher rate than Swinney, and I think Oregon destroys Clemson if they met. Just my 2 cents! TCU didn’t have to beat Oregon twice, USC, @Sparty, Utah, and Texas. I agree that DeBoer has to prove his status as an elite coach this year. The fact that he has the most five stars in the land now though makes choosing him in a predictive list of 2024 a no-brainer.

@@berryoutdoors7108 2023 Michigan is not 2022 Michigan. Alabama & Saban couldn’t even beat 2023 Michigan. Also, that 2022 Michigan team played OSU, then… no one. Not even in the title game (Purdue…). DeBoer is a great coach. His recruiting level remains to be seen though. Put Saban or Kirby at UW and I’m not sure their recruiting numbers would be much better. I mean DeBoer has already got two five stars on board at Alabama.

I think u can make a case for 8 on your list. Kelly and Norvel , no way. Novel had one good year against very week competition, then his players laid down on him against Georgia. Kelly has been in great situations for 15 years and will never get it done. Also I'd have to have Lance Leipold from Kansas on there somewhere.

How long did Riley stick with a DC that could not coach up the talent. That there proves that Riley is not a top 10 coach. Dabo coaches at Clemson it’s not a power house program like the rest of the teams on this list.. Oregon is a bigger program than Clemson.. Clemson isn’t gonna get the best recruiting classes it’s not a big program like Georgia and bama.. So the fact dabo has accomplished what he has at clemson is insane… He coaches clemson there’s no reason clemson should be winning 8-10 games every year.. Dabo is the best coach on the list won with lesser talent

@crazyunclelou utah coach. Seriously gundy ranks higher in ever area beside titles. That one game. Most of utah wins were g5. Since utah got in the pac12 ,they only been introduced top 3 three times. The titles in pac 12 are they for real. Byu went 5 and 0 one your. Utah lost to 2 g5 teams that year with only 2 pac12 ranked teams. Being a good team in pac12 gets you lots of wins. The bottom has always been poor. They change the bottom 6. You tend to get 4 of those, 4 more and a bowl when your 9 wins. Gundy since 2010 has been top 3 7 times. Only 1 losing season. Didn't have title games for a few years. Big 12 usually had 4 or more ranked teams out of 10. I could make reason for others. Last or so, gundy us on wins, wins against ranked opponents list. He holds a good bowl and big 6 records.

Gundy missed 2 title games because big 12 didn't have it. In the last 10 years utah has played about 10 less ranked teams and gundy has a better record. Seriously the pac 12 has been up and down with there big 3 teams allow utah to get there. Gundy for most times, had to face a better team in ou. Washington has history but also has 1 win and zero win teams since 2000. Usc has had bad teams. There is no tcu ksu baylor isu in the pac12 beside utah.

Riley is extremely overrated. He's got a good offensive mind, but to be considered a good coach, you NEED to understand not just the offense, but... believe it or not... the defense. If his teams at OU and USC had good defenses, he'd have multiple natties.
