I know that the thing about Pluto not talking but goofy can, it seems a bit complicated. But it’s really simple. The characters from the franchise are people that resemble animals. E.g. Mickey is a person resembling a mouse, Donald resembles a duck, goofy resembles a dog, e.t.c. Pluto however, is an actual dog, and dogs can’t talk, so that is why goofy can talk and Pluto can’t.

Actually maybe Goofy is okay with that is not because he's dumb but actually because he's smarter. Goofy has the ability to walk, talk, and any other things that a human can do. But because Pluto can't do that he is considered low class while Goofy and his family are higher class because they can do things that normal humans can do. Also i dare you to apply this concept to Mickey and Minnie omg.

Maybe that was a dream showing her the actual d e a t h of her parents. That may be why at the end of the movie she talks and interacts with them and the people on the island, as maybe everyone else also died, and the wilted flower coming back to life symbolised her joining them in the afterlife. @@rolandarmstrong3711 Just Goofy- Disney confirmed that he just has “dog like features” so officially I guess he’s kind of a person, but more accurately I’d say he’s just a “Goof” which would just be a toon species- similar to the Animaniacs. Meanwhile Donald IS a Duck- he’s an Anthropomorphic Toon duck, even exhibiting Toon Force abilities. Edit: After further Research, He definitely is just a Toon Dog. His original name was Dippy Dawg before being changed to Goofy. Also, that theory might’ve applied better Pre 1980s in the old Cartoons that had them Coexisting with humans, but post Ducktales (not including Quack Pack) most of the stuff seems to have them in a society of Toon animals similar to Zootopia.

I highly suggest reading the Disney movie theory online. They connect almost all of the movies and it's really interesting a cool theory. Some of the parts are how Anna & Elsa's parents were traveling to Rapunzle's coronation by ship but on the way the ship collided with rocks and caught fire. Down on those rocks was Ariel's mother, who died in an identical way, when Ariel was a baby. Elsa and Anna's parents, the king and queen of Arendale actually survived the shipwreck and escaped via boat. At the beginning of Tarzan you see a couple arriving ashore from sea and you see them build the treehouse that Tarzan is born in. Before the king and queen of Arendale left for Punzie's coronation the mother didn't realize she was pregnant. Fast forward to when Tarzan is born and unfortunately the king and queen of Arendale were killed by the jaguar in the tree. Tarzan is secretly Anna and Elsa's little brother who was orphaned and grew up with the gorillas etc. In Rapunzle you can see her arriving to a grand ball/party which actually is the coronation of Elsa who becomes queen after the news of her parents death... the story continues on and it's really cool and has explanations for a ton of the easter eggs in the more recent movies i.e. Boo is the witch in Brave and since she travels at specific times through doors that's why Merida can't see her at first until she opens the door to the hut and suddenly Boo/the witch is now there. Boo time travels through the doors which is why you can see her in other movies like Toy Story 4 as one of the students in the background at the school and also why in Monster's Inc. you can see a Jessie doll on the floor when she says goodbye to Sully... super cool!
