When I was 11yrs old I was tasked with babysitting my Aunt who had paranoia due to some kind of drug. I was told she was talking about killing herself, had a gun but didn't have the right sized bullets. My family was sure she wouldn't hurt me cause she loved kids. I remember sitting in her livingroom as she told me that her ex-husband had cameras in the walls and that when my grandpa called to check on us she told me not to answer cause everyone was in on it. Luckily that was all that happened and shortly after she got help but I will say that us a very messed up thing I went through.

I suffer from schizoaffective disorder and grew up living with psychosis. I heard voices, music that wasn't there, was paranoid, and had very severe insomnia. Sleep deprivation is truly a horrific thing to live with. With medication, I have this completely under control. One thing I want to say about this video is that some of these people didn't suffer from psychosis at all. They suffered from personality disorders such as narcissism and psychopathy. Very different things. The vast majority of people living with disorders such as mine or schizophrenia wouldn't harm a fly.

So there were times when I was around 10 where I wouldn’t drink much water. Every time i looked away from any glass or cup of water, I would think someone poisoned it or did something else with it. I was also very paranoid and always felt as though someone was watching me everywhere. Even when my parents checked everywhere in my room, I could still feel something watching me. I still do. I always thought someone was watching me when I was outside, and when my back was turned, they would burst through one of the gates and kill me. When I had sound proof headphones on, I would be more paranoid because I couldn’t hear anything but music. I closed all the windows at night because I thought someone would come in my house and murder my family and me. I didn’t sleep for days, and the loss of sleep caused my to hallucinate and become even more scared. I heard voices telling me someone around me was a murderer in disguise, and I didn’t help when my mom and older sister watched crime shows. These crime shows should how people can be, and made me very terrified. I was always into horror, so stupidly, I watched these crime shows from a different room. The more you know ✨ lmao Also I still do have voices in my head, but im ok :) wow this is long lol

H. H. Holmes wasn't psychotic. He was a very intelligent, sane man, who was a con artist and he got insurance for all of his homes and businesses, then destroyed them to get the money. He did the same to people. Having the murder castle just made it easier to kill and dispose of the bodies, rather than trying to hide them in public. His victims were usually people close to him, who often had life insurance. Or, the victims were very wealthy.

@Wolfie R they are in your head. They aren't real voices lmao
@popefrancis89603 жыл бұрын
@Wolfie R maybe that works for you, however everyone's voices are different and, technically, plugging your ears would only make the voices more distinct because you are blocking out all other sound. You are not technically hearing the voices, your brain is simply tricking you. Since you aren't actually hearing the voices, your ears are not connected to the voices at all, therefore plugging your ears wouldn't work for like 99 percent of people.

I'm not sure that Harold Shipman was ever diagnosed as psychotic. He was in an ordinary prison until his suicide, not a hospital, so it doesn't seem as if he was diagnosed with a mental illness. Psychosis is an illness. Just because someone has psychosis, doesn't make them a murderer, and just because someone is a murderer, doesn't make them psychotic. The two shouldn't be confused.

My psychosomnias (and my epilepsie) are the reasons Why I cant live alone. Theres always the possibility of an epileptic shock, but also Theres always the possibility of me gaming myself and or others without even knowing it. Also I get Really, Really scared and erpressen when I'm alone, but the company of my cat is enough to make up for that. Still I Feel a lot better when I know that f.e. My little Brother is in bis room in the other side of the Apartment, though he Never Really Leaves said room. Anyway, if I live alone I might forget to Take my medication (well, I forget it Really much often Now too but Theres usually Somebody sei und who Notices if I behave "strange") or sometimes I have halluzinations and delusions in spite of the medication (Doctors are still figuring Things out for me) and when that happens it can go from believing a Family Member wants to do me Harm or said Family Member isnt the Family Member but an Evil presence that took on the form of my Family Member and wants to destroy us all to believing I can fly. (That actually happened when I was 9 and I was supposed to Stay at home cause I had an infected Throat. As soon as I felt better I Wanted to go back to school etc but I wasnt allowed. At some point I was sure I could fly so I jumped put my window. Luckily I lived on ground level back then but it still downed a little Bit and I did nothing to break my Fall because I was certain to start Flying any nanosecond Now. Therefore I landed Flat in my belly, bruised some ribs, broke my nose and broke the Two upper teeth in Front of all the others (in German we Call it Schneidezähne) in half. Im just glad I didn't end up Jumping into our pointy Metal fence. Sometimes it's just the Voices telling me stupid Stuff but most times I just ignore them.
