I really like mammoths too. They have a 75% weight reduction for wood and both their attacks are great for berries too! I love my mammoth and I'm proud of him! I highly recommend taming them. (They can collect Rare mushrooms too) And my other favourites are spinosaurus for destroying the swamps and the whole map pretty much and therizinosaurus for collecting fibre!

Giga is a very bad tame in Brutal, it's hard tame, yet when it's tame it's stats are pathetically weak (Weaker than my Rexes). Leveling stats is also very bad

For free-to-play players and players that don't have time or patience for taming some of the obvious top-tens: 1. Argentavis - carrying stuff + travel 2. Pteranodon - fastest travel mount + alpha hunting + early tame 3. Ankylo - metal 4. Doed - stone (base building) 5. Mammoth/castoroides (beaver) - wood 6. Araneo/Arthro - caving, araneo for singleplayer (easier to tame and more maneuverable), Arthro for multi, noone will dare use ascendant swords, plus wrecks armor. 7. Wooly Rhino - the juggernaut, wrecks havoc on carno island, can 1 or 2-hit KO most wild creatures. 8. Rex - hide/chitin, higher rank than spino because higher health pool and damage + so rex fans won't scream 9. Spino - hide/chitin, more maneuverable, faster than Rex, rapid slap attack, water buff, rex won't get too much hit because of rapid slap attack knockback. 10. Dimorphodon - can 1v1 carno, 2v1 to be safe. Can solo hunter's artifact cave (set to aggressive then let it loose, call passive occasionally to heal) Special mentions: 1. Theriz - requires way more patience than the ones above. Worth it though because it's an all-rounder. 2. Chalicotherium - hard to tame, but pop a balm from tributing and give it 2-3 beers and you have yourself a walking catapult. 3. Allosaur - titanosaur slayer, if you know what you're doing. 4. Ichty - works like araneo/arthropleura underwater, nothing targets it 5. Beelzebuffo - I like hoping and duking kaprosuchus trying to pounce on me, plus mid-range attack will keep most cave creatures at bay with knockback.

Fun fact, the first time I tamed a pterodactyl I immediately went over to the north-west side of the map where the snow byome and desert byome meet, tons of argys spawn there, so now I have a lv 40 something argy that I use a lot… Also I just realized that the theno saddle is at lvl 69. Nice.

In ark mobile there's so many dinos that are too useful and for some mention we have: The big tree farming dinos : doedicurus literally best stone collector and also best transporter of stone. Ankylosaurus best metal farmer by far ideal to farm obsi and crystal even it don't have weight reduction on it. And the Teri (it's better to have one Teri and one mammouth in end game) Teri is worth it for fiber collecting fiber and wood even he haven't any weight reduction on it For caving definitely you need the big bad wolf of the snow cave and solo player have a great adventage cause they have no lvl limit lmfao and are REALLY and definitely one of the best gather of chetin pelt and hide. There's also the areneo that is overpowered and share it's ability with the artropleura (that is definitely worthless to tame cause the artro is slower than the areneo and it's taming process is more difficult then the areneo's) it's ability is to be invisible to the wild dinos

Methopathic/ Bigfoot can do the same as theriz on moble, but it only will collect fiber on free roming not only that you can take them in most caves unlike the therz. Therz can collect meat but Bigfoot can go in caves so something to think about or to way out your options? Therz VS Bigfoot on ark mobile as rec dinos

spinosaur aha ... that reminds me how I tamed my one. It took such a pain that I never dared to tame other. But it worth it. it has insane damage + insane health + good stamina but speed, that's like moderate (it's just level 82 but it defeats a level 150 spino)

I tamed it along most dangerous area I.e swamp and redwood. Torpor or food was not the problem (I had major smoothing balms+compound bow+toxicant arrows) but it just ran away like mad and disappeared like in thick confusing redwoods. I got 5 spino to torpor run but they all escaped at last 6th one I got it that too in water (luckily they don't lose oxygen) man that was insane..

For me, Some of the dinos in this video are absolutely trash, they are: Arthrepleoura, Therizinosaur and Procoptodon. Btw here's a new list i recommend using or not lol: 1. Brontosaurus, Mammoth or Paraceratherium. 2. Sarcosuchus or kaprosuchus. 3. Tyrannosaurus Rex or Spinosaurus. 4. Carnotaurus or Allosaurus. 5. Tapejara, Argentavis or Any Griffin. 6. Megalodon or Manta. 7. Quetzalcoatlus or Pteranodon. 8. Megalosaurus or Baryonyx. 9. Ankylosaurus, Doedicurus or Stegosaurus 10. Pulmonoscorpius, Araneo or Beelzebufo. (I added two or three of every one because some people say it's hard to tame)
