As a former burger king employee (I just left there a week and a half ago), I can guarantee that BK burgers do NOT come with the grill marks already on them. They really are flame broiled like the commercials say. I may not have liked the job, but I certainly do love their food.

I've commented on this subject before and I'll do it again, I was a crew trainer at McDonald's for 8 years and at the two restaurant's I worked at we was never told to squeeze the fry boxes or told to train anyone to squeeze them, not saying it doesn't happen but there are some good McDonald's out there that don't follow this practice, also if the box was found to be low the management had you top the box up so it was full

Yeah, same here. I’m a current McDonald’s Team Leader. I’m one of the first people they look to when finding trainers. Fry box pinching just isn’t a thing a my local franchise. The motto we’re taught: “Stuff ‘em, don’t fluff ‘em.” And managers will absolutely make you fill them up.

It’s figured into their cost. But either way you end up with more fries than you were expecting which is a great idea. McDonald’s you’re hardly even get a full thing of fries anymore. If you ever go to Ocean City Maryland go to thrashers on the boardwalk. That’s pretty much where they stole the whole idea from but they do it just as good

In the mid 70's I was a manager for McD. They have changed some of my favorites. The bisquets were made fresh every morning they were so good. Now they are frozen & have a hard bottom. I don't like them anymore. The recipe for the pies has changed aren't nearly as flaky and light. Yuck. And of course the Big Mac is smaller. I still occasionally get a Mac or a regular burger. Other than that they changed my favorites or I just didn't like the other stuff much. It's funny how you taste buds & brains know right away what is different.

@@sarahdonahue8393 i was driving my mom's car from Florida to Colorado in '05 and I went from 1 McD'' to another and the bisquets were all the same hard bottomed. I finally asked one of them about it and they told me theywere frozen. I guess it depends on the bosses. That's good to know. But, my experience with people is if I walk in and ask if they were made that morning, if I ask certain persons would get their backs up & lie. If I was an owner I would advertise that because there's a world of difference in the taste & texture. Thank you for telling me that Sarah. The biggest secret they don't tell you is that it's cheaper to make your burger and fries at home. I even make my sauce for my burger, I mix a jar of Cole slaw sauce with a bottle of poppy seed dressing. I also can have my choice of which soft drink I want. Take care, stay safe and GOD bless.

Don't like Burger King. Used to love Taco bell, now the beans are mostly liquid with a few beans. KFC gives me too little meat. I only eat white meat, they must get about 4 separate servings from 1 breast. I do still eat there slaw once in awhile. My favorite is chic-fil-a. My town wouldn't let them build here because they closed on Sunday and their Christian.

Muffins are glorified cake packaged to appear like a healthy option. Due to health issues I have an extensive knowledge about food, calories etc but a lot of people don't for various reasons and I worry about them being duped because of misleading information. This isn't just at restaurants but relates to every item that you eat and drink, supermarkets in general tend to also mislead customers. Salad dressings are high in calories so you need to be aware of what you are actually eating.

I used to Super Size my combo at almost EVERY fast food restaurant I went to. Then, I realized that different restaurants supper sizes were bigger than others, (for instance, the Chick-fil-a 'Value Size' is bigger than the McDonald's 'Super Size.' The Burger King 'King Size' is bigger than The McDonald's 'Super the Chick-fil-a 'Value Size,' and, so forth. So, I just decided to stop Super Sizing , altogether.

As a current McDonald’s team leader, those first two are false. At least at the franchise where I work, it’s just very false. The bacon isn’t cooked at specific times. It’s cooked to order because we don’t want it to sit around and get gross. And we’re not taught to pinch the fry boxes. We’re taught, “Stuff ‘em, don’t fluff ‘em.” So yeah, those first two are not real.
