Top 10 DISLIKES and Hates about my Ford Bronco

How refreshing to have someone that represents a dealership actually share real and legitimate dislikes about a vehicle they sell. Amazing. I suspected this would be filled with 10 little trivial “dislikes” that dealership installed aftermarket accessories could fix, but was truly surprised to see real issues that Fire doesn’t have a solution for yet. Hey, I appreciate and respect your points. I really don't think it's nit-picky at all, $60gz shouldn't have these issues; no hood shock, the lack of interior lights and no interior sensors. Hopefully, Ford will have upgrades in the near future for Bronco owners.

Ordered one on the website pretty early, was able to get a wildtrack spot. 15 months later I get an email from Ford with a photo of the truck coming off the line. I had forgotten about it. there was mo problem at the dealership with me not taking it after waiting a year and a half. Seeing the issues coming up on these vehicles I am really glad I bowed out... looks like it's a piece of crap.

Yes. I'm worried too. Everything on that truck is either electronic or undersized and over powered. No dependable V8 available has been the deal killer for me. I'm not into rice burning heat soaked four or six bangers. Give me a V8 or give me death! And I don't mean a supercharged 800 HP $150,,000+ Race truck either. Just a good 'ol Ford V8. Like the 5.0 in the F-150. That's all I ask.

I went with a full size TTB and did some work to it and some money well spent and I am stoked. More wheel travel than a Raptor on King shocks. Gusseted and plated beams and custom stronger radius arm to beam connetions Drive train built AC stereo alt etc... Engine upgrade for torque gears lockers etc.. smooth and control fast over whoops. Goes everywhere well with power wounds good and room inside. Rear auto window and tailgate . A lot of fun and performance and comfort and can tow a boat or trailer well.

mic 2.0 makes the noise, i have the same exact build as yours, service tech told me where the pins of roof panels go into roll bar, to put eva foam and it cures it

Hello, I agree with the grab handles not being usable. They are too low. I also agree on the rear seat area vents & lighting. A person would expect these things on a truck way cheaper, but mine was $63k

The handles aren’t meant for assisting passengers into the vehicles. They’re for the driver and passenger to have hand holds while going over rough terrain while still being comfortably seated.

That's what I was shown also about not being for in and out. More for holding driver and passenger in place when the Bronco is at steep angles.

Still poor design and not intuitive. At Off Rodeo, me and my passenger tried to hold on to the grab handles and they felt too awkward. I ended up leaving both hands on the wheel and my passenger had one hand on the dash and the other on the A pillar.

@@j.l.5966 I'm not saying you're wrong or right but how does your opinion of the handles "feeling awkward " justify them as a poor design? A lot of things feel awkward during their initial use or trial. When I go from my Explorer to my F150 and then to driving the Bronco it all feels kinda awkward because my Fusion is my daily driver. Still doesn't make them a poorly engineered product. I'm just saying try them more than once and then see how they do.

I have a 2022 bronco four-door big bend with a hard top. Still low mileage, but no hardtop roof clicking.

They make a affordable and easy to install kit for the hood struts online. I have yet to even use my analog speedometer and my left arm I drive with is always blocking the display unlike my 16 Fusion. I don't like that the headrest can't be tilted forward like other Fords, no stereo mute on steering wheel and swing out spare tire rack for washing behind tire like old Jeeps have. But in all I'm super happy with my 2021 Bronco and I got my Toyo AT3s already on mine on less than 200 miles.

The handles aren't positioned there for getting into the vehicle, they're positioned there so you can pull yourself forward in the seat and look over the side mirror and a-pillar while you're on technical trails. Having the handles up where they're normally at would put your arm in the way of looking at obstacles on the trail. I guess they did a good job with my hardtop, since I don't get any of that noise, no leaks, it's quiet, and the headliner doesn't disintegrate into dust when I touch it. Motion sensors would probably have been a good addition, maybe it was too problematic and causing false alarms with the hard top and doors off? I'm surprised you didn't mention the wipers hitting the antenna when you lift them up to clean the windshield, that was a weird and amateur oversight on Ford's part. Kits are available to put lift struts on the hood, and the newer Bronco models already have them. I'm glad mine didn't come with an engine cover, as I've already done several things that a cover would've gotten in the way of. Probably what I dislike the most is they opted to use the smaller transmission and a very weak rack and tie rods. The engine is capable of way more power, but the transmission won't handle much more than stock. The rack and tie rods might be adequate for stock tire sizes, but they're undersized and weak for 35's and likely a safety issue with 37's or bigger.

Great video Jorge! I love my 4dr softtop rapid red Bronco, only complain i have so far; if you drive on a snow/slushy roads, Bronco gets crazy muddy/slushy to all the way up to the side windows. It looks like you just got back from off-roading, but the reality is just got home from work!!! Great job! Thanks for your insights!

I agree with your list. Motion sensors would make a lot of sense for the Bronco. I have a MIC 2.0 and I haven't noticed any noises yet, but I've only had it two weeks. My biggest grip is the windows have to come down a little to open, but they are too slow. When I forget and open the door quickly it hangs up and the whole window shakes. The window needs to come down faster or as soon as you touch the door handle. Do other cars, like convertibles, have this issue?

As someone that comes from somewhere it snows and freezes, the idea of the windows having to go down to get in bothers me. Windows freeze here and can’t be rolled down right away sometimes.

@@PDGX Sounds like you need to train the window. You put the window that isn't working correctly down and hold the down button for 5 seconds and then you put the window back up and hold the up button for 5 seconds. You then put the window down again and hold it down for 5 seconds and then you put it back up and you hold it in the up position for 5 seconds. I thought I broke mine initially after taking the doors off for the first time but that fixed it.

I have a 2 door and the only thing I really hate are the HORRIBLE slow window lowering regulators. I hate every time I have to open the door and consciously open it slow so the window doesn’t hit. I’ve had several cars with this and none of them were this slow and annoying. This can be done properly and ford really messed it up.

I can't comment about the Apple Car Play since I have Android. However, with Android I can search for something on my phone and click directions on my phone. It automatically pushes it to Android Auto on the car then. The only time I can have maps open on Android Auto while connected is if something else is open on the car, ie: WAZE. Then I can open maps on my phone at the same time.

My 2021 Bronco Base 2 door has a software glitch that is intermittent and when it happens NOTHING works including 4-wheel drive. My hardtop clicks and pops all the time.

Jorge! So I found these pedal covers for my 2021 Ford Bronco on eBay and they do the trick: For 2016-2021 Ford Ranger Everest Bronco Brake Gas Pedal Pad Covers Accessories. I wouldn't blame the google maps issue to the Bronco as it is embedded into the Android system (blaming android OS). I don't have that issue with mine using Apple Car play. However, I would replace that issue with how slow is the window to go down when you open the door. I have to open a little bit the door before actually open the door to not get the window stuck. That's something that mustang doesn't do and I can't understand why this was missed during the developing stage of the Bronco.

Solid dislikes. I don’t personally feel the Bronco is worth 60K in any configuration. Mine comes to around 51K and even then I was very hesitant to place the order. I was sold on the 44K Basesquatch but my wife wanted some of the goodies from the mid package

It's funny; everything you mentioned was exactly what we thought. We have a soft top, so we don't have the mess. Thank goodness. I just watched another video. The guy just got his new replacement hard top. He kept hearing a popping noise. It drove him nuts. However, I absolutely love my Bronco, so I'm able to let it all go. Lesson learned buy mud flaps. I chiped my paint because I drove down a private driveway that had little rocks. They got stuck in my mud tires when I got on the freeway, Uh. Oh, whack after whack that was upsetting 😡

I have Outer Banks lux package with Sasquatch and a soft top I’ve had it for three months now and my only complaint is it seems like the windows do not come down fast enough when you open the doors, it seems like they stick a little bit or just slow to respond. And I am surprised my soft top is not very noisy I didn’t think I would like the soft top because I originally ordered it with the MIC top but I wanted my bronco sooner rather than later !! I vastly prefer analogue speedometer. I hate all the screens in cars, very jarring when driving long distance and at night. Can you turn off the screens in the bronco?

ford did a great job on the bronco hype. got us all excited. i waited 19 months for mine. Finally came in and it looked very sexy on the lot. I turned the engine (6 cyl) on and it sounded like my wifes ford escape. What a disappointment! i asked for my deposit back. Ford has to get off that eco boost BS, pure garbage! Then i learned that there are already catastrophic engine failures....What an embarrassment for Ford.

Thanks, Jorge. Your phone’s light probably work’s best for giving back seat lighting. Or just Velcro in one of those maglite type flashlights on the back of the middle console. And, get your insurance company to replace the front windshield! Most states require “free” windshield replacement on a 6 inch or greater front windshield crack. Doesn’t Texas? :)

Can you not use google maps on your phone when you’re using Apple car play either?

Hello Rebecca! Yes you can use google maps when you are using apple car play, any compatible navigation apps are usable through the wireless car play.

Great content. Agree with most of those dislikes. I dislike the non b&o speakers and can’t wait to swap them. Mine has the mic 2.0 and it does make similar noises. It has been very cold up north so some of the noises are probably caused by ice buildup so can’t say for certain that it’s better or worse. The Bronco is still my favorite vehicle I have ever owned! Can’t wait to do some mods to rectify some dislikes:)

The shedding in the hard top is nasty. The engine bay is a “rats nest” exactly. The hard tops a joke. The wind, window and tire noise should have been addressed before being released. The quality is just not there for the money spent

I would definitely recommend PPF for the windshield. There's a company making the film for the windshield to prevent rock chips.

Why haven"t you received your new mic top from Ford. I thought Ford had given everyone their new mic top. If you are still waiting on a new mic top than I am in deep trouble receiving my mic top bronco any time in the near future being it is a mic top 2022.

I don’t have a bronco… yet. However, I don’t like how the soft tops don’t open better in the back. Lifting the top and propping it open is weird af.

The maps thing isnt a Bronco thing. its an Andriod auto thing. When I have a Galaxy S21 in my Tacoma. You cannot open maps while its using them on andriod auto.

Howdy, I found out that if I use waze instead of google maps then I am able to open up the google map on my phone.
