At a local theme park I got stuck on the scary dinosaur ride (I was so nervous about doing it because it was a dark ride in a warehouse) but then it malfunctioned, all the main lights came on, and we got see all the cool dinosaur models up close! I wasn't scared the next time I rode it, and enjoyed every roar and 'jump scare' that ride threw at us. Cool experience!

Not Disney but I got stuck on the Gringotts ride at universal. Anyone who’s been on it will know that bit at the beginning where the track raises up before it drops you and we came into that room and all the screens were frozen but the track tilted up and then we just got stuck. I was so scared my lapbar would break and I’d fall forward out of the ride 😂 Eventually they told us it was about to start again and they dropped us down the track without an in show exit

When I was little I was upset because my brothers always got to “drive” in the indiana Jones ride. The one time I finally got to drive the ride broke down at the very start and I cried because I thought I was a bad driver. We had to walk the whole way out. And luckily the boulder that falls down is just a telegram.

I’ve actually been through a breakdown on Haunted Mansion myself, though not with an in-show exit. The line had stopped earlier for a breakdown but reopened, my doom buggy then got stuck during the ride about half an hour later right in from of the 13 o’clock clock. We resumed a short while later and did in fact get Fastpasses for our trouble upon exiting the ride. More recently (as in like a few days ago) I got the opportunity to ride Space Mountain with the lights partially on. It wasn’t the fully lit experience we Disney fans dream of but the lights on the stairwells were on so it was pretty cool nonetheless!

Me and my family were on and we went on the droid thing it wouldn’t start so we went behind the walls and got transported. We still got on the ride though. Very cool.

When my dad went to Disney with his friends when he was younger and he got stuck on pirates of the Caribbean and he was stuck hearing “yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me” for 3 hours. When I went to Disney me and my dad went on pirates of the Caribbean and the ride stops on the exact same part he got stuck on when he went when he was younger

Haunted mansion stops a lot to allow guests with disabilities to get on and off the ride. There’s also the rare occasion that a guest gets out of their doom buggy while the ride is in motion.

If anyone who is disabled or used a wheelchair is on the ride cast members are not allowed to assist the disabled and firefighters must be the ones that help with evacuation for disabled. So just cause ur 3 feet off the ground is not high it’s a huge law suit for Disney if cast members helped the disabled off at all. Let alone let them out in an non loading/unloading area.

At Island of Adventure the Harry Potter Hogwarts ride kept breaking down. Everything would stop, the lights came on, the screens turned off and occasionally you would hear a Harry voice line even though everything stopped. Since it broke down, we were allowed to skip the queues and go on again. It broke down again, and again, and again. My dad and sister got bored and left but me and my mum were determined to get 1 run through without it breaking down which we eventually did. It was really cool to see everything stop and be able to lean forward and look at the mechanics around you.

I think it's pretty amazing how you can get experience the ride at every Disney Theme Parks when they lights are on you can get to see the cameras and different color light, props, and wires that's the true magic of Disney I thought that was pretty awesome it's just like walking and looking behind the scenes of every ride. 💞

One day before Halloween 2019 we were at Disneyland. The haunted Mansion ride broke down while we were on it. It was a nightmare before Christmas theme. "This is Halloween" was playing for a half hour. We were over it no in-show exit

When I was on haunted mansion a while ago, we got stuck in the room with the crystal ball. The ride just stopped and than the narrator was like “it appears some mischievous ghosts have interrupted our tour” or something like that. After a while, the ride continued though.

That's usually when they pause it to let disabled people on, that's not really a proper breakdown. I know because I've heard it when I've had to help peeps I'm with who are scooter-bound 'walk' in. Thank heck for conveyor belts, kind of, I struggle with them and I walk perfectly normally.

The best breakdown I ever had was around 25 or 30 years ago on Disneyland’s People Mover. We stopped right at the entrance to Tomorrowland, just as the vehicle had turned left when we stopped. We were sitting there for only a couple minutes when all the area lights went out and the Main Street Electrical Parade came by. I got to basically sit and watch the whole parade from the equivalent of a private balcony. Cast members would come by to check on us periodically, but we told them there was no hurry!

Others were mad because they waited in line for nothing but I was mad because I wanted to be on the ride during the in show exit 😭

14:10 okay so i have multiple storys about this ride and its breakdowns but something i want to mention. I ALWAYS GET STUCK AT THE PEEKABOO GRAVEYARD RIGHT SMACK DAB IN FRONT OF ONE OF THE PEEKABOO GRAVES AND I HATE IT!! Okay so on with the storys i have three. Story one. It was december 2018 me and my family were going on our disney Christmas trip we did when we could. Okay so i was 11 and i was gonna ride with my papa (he had problems with walking cause he got out of the hospital only months before and he was perusing around the park on a put put thing with his roller cane on the back) so there i was waiting in the handicap line with papa (mom on the other side of the gate) visibly shaking (i wanted to ride with my mom like i always did but i felt super duper guilty about papa riding alone so i went with him even though i wanted my mom) and before we got in just as the handicap buggy was about to pull up and cast members would help papa and me in. The ride stopped cause someone dropped something or something wasnt working on the ride. And the graphics stopped moving (yaknow the big moving picture at the loading bay where you get on) and factory lights began turning on and we were told the ride was malfunctioning and wouldnt be operational for a few hours. So we never got on the ride. also heres a fact about me before we move on to my second story, i LOVE the movie nightmare before Christmas like LOVE it soundtrack is bomb and graphics are amazing!! But I absolutely HATE the attraction it gives me chills im almost 13 now and the stupid elevator still scares me!! Also the soundtrack for the queue makes it worse! Its like everytime i ride it again it keeps slowly tailoring itself to my fears! So I officially hate that ride. Second story. It was summer?? Of 2018?? (Sure lets go with that), my friends from arizona were visiting and i was going to ride haunted mansion with my friend (i dont want to say her real name so ill call her zell) so as i was saying i was gonna ride haunted mansion with my friend zell, we adjusted ourselves so we were squished together and our bags were on the opposite side at the edge, so we get to the graveyard scene (here it is my reason for hating this ride) and we stop, and take a wild guess where we stop, correct RIGHT IN FRONT OF A FRIGGIN POP UP GRAVE!!, so im scared and zell being a good bestie hugs me and tells me to close my eyes (she was my guardian angel in that moment) and she promised she would tell me when the ride was moving again, so we sat there in front if the grave for maybe 2 minuets and it started back up again ( somebody had dropped something on the track and needed to locate it before it got jammed between the track and a buggy) so we finished the ride got off and laughed off and told zells older sister and our moms!! And my third story Okay so its end of december 2019, and me and my cousins met up and went to disneyland cause it had been forever scince we last saw em, so haunted mansion this time i was riding with two of my cousins ( again respectin the privacy of my cousins i wont state his name but ill just call him rylan and his younger sister kenzie, okay so fake names ready lets go) and i was riding with my older cousin Rylan and his younger sister kenzie, and we were seated so kenzie was inbetween me and rylan, so we get on and kenzie is scared so i gave her my phone and loaded up pudding bang and youtube kids ( ik im a loser but i had a youtube account) and she was using rylans headphones to watch her youtube, so kenzies in her own world arms locked with mine and rylans (cute she is so precious 😊) and were almost at the end, and then we stop right in front of oogie boogie, 1 minuet later it starts back up, and then we stop again in front of the gift screen, so me and rylan exchange a glance like “ dude wtf why did it stop again” and then the ride picks back up and i tap kenzies shoulder and tell her “hey were done were gonna get off soon so lets pack up” she hands me my phone she gives rylan back his headphones and we tell her “so brave, you did it, brave girl” yaknow stuff to make her feel better, so we get off and are walking out of the ride and me and rylan look at eachother like “That was fun” and yeah. So yeah those are all my haunted mansion breakdown storys, no in show exits, but i honestly think its better that way!.

Fun fact: Incredicoaster/California Screamin’s lift hill is actually powered by electromagnets. At the 13:00 mark, it sounded EXACTLY like one of Intamin’s LIM launches (Intamin was the ride manufacturer). Look up the Impulse coasters or Volcano at Kings Dominion for reference

​@@ellisonwhite4039 the day that ellen and the great movie ride happened to fall during our planed trip. it was a pretty interesting day my plan that day was to go to epcot ride the rides and go to ellen for its last ride (since it closes sooner) then head to hollywood studios for the last great movie ride. i got up in time for rope drop and headed for the bus and from the bus lines it was clear which ride folks were more wanting to say goodbye too. i got to epcot and got on tons of ride with the plan to save ellen for that last ride. my brother joined me after i watched circle of life (with no ide it would be my last time seeing that too. anyway it became about an hour before the last ride and after me and my brother ate at the electric umbrella i decided to head over to ellen just in case. we got there and the cast members directed us to a holding pen for people who want to go on the last ride. my brother was nervous about making both ellen and the great movie ride. id be lieing if i didnt say i was a little nervous myself but i still wanted to do both. we sat in that holding pen for about an hour and i watched some videoes on my phone. then they started dirrecting us towards the door. there were some famous basketball players there (course i dont follow sports so i couldnt tell you who they were) then they let us in. we got a spot standing to see the preshow, the castmember did the last safety spiel and erveryone applauded her. then the preshow started and the whole crowd started interacting with it and quoting it. i never seen people so hyped for that ride. i got caught up in the hype and wound up being the first to shout "STUPID JUDY!" at the top of my lungs. then the preshow ended and we got loaded in. my brother and i sat in the second row of the front left cart, i liked to sit in that area because i liked to hear the whole of that radio broadcast they played while the other cars were coming. the ride started and the first movie scene was happening. while ellen was unabale to hear bill nye say "the big bang", i, still caught up in the preshow shouted "THE BIG BANG!" at the top of my lungs. then the ride went into the dinosaur diorama and as we were all seeing those dinosaurs from one lat time, right when our car was about to reach the pterodactlys it stoped and we heard the announcement we were being evaced. the guy in front of us talked about how he got evaced off dinosaur. then the casst member came let us out of our car and told us to look around and feel free to take pictures. my brother and i got a picture with the ormithmimus animatronic. to this day that photo is my phone wall paper. i got to touch him, he felt like rubber. it was so cool to walk around freely and see all those dinosaurs up close, to touch them. course then we had to leave then it was time for the great movie ride. in order to avoid waiting for the bus, i thought itd be a good idea to take the walkway at the international gateway. we made it to the entrance of the yacht and beach club resort adn ubered the rest of the way. we made it to the great movie ride a little before its closing . i tried to be aggressive about getting on the last ride but so were the ither guests, you ever see that south park episode where they were playing baseball and they wanted to loose so they wouldnt have to play anymore. i found that to be the perfect metaphor for that moment. we didnt make the last great mvoie ride but we did get on the next to last one. and at the end of it the cast memebers were in the loaded area clapping for us. after i left the ride i was hit with a bit of sadness at the realization that it would be my last time on that ride fun fact you can see and hear me on plenty of youtube videoes of the last ellen ride, the winnie the pooh mouse ears i was wearing make me easy to spot in a crowd and like i said i shouted "STUPID JUDY!" and "THE BIG BANG!"

i was at Disney a couple days ago, and at Hollywood is was always closing over and over again. everyone got frustrated, and in my opinion they need a refurbishment. i also have the same opinion about Peter Pan too.

Once when I went on goofy’s sky school towards the end of the ride it broke down and we had to have people help us out. We still got fast passes even though the ride was practically over 😂

Yes! We broke down on the carousel of progress. Well it was less a breakdown than getting completely stuck. It was raining so hard outside that they ran the same scene over and over and over and over and over again. By the time we were done I had memorize the entire script to the October scene and I didn't mind at all because I thought it was so cool and special. I came this close to climbing up on the stage with the animatronics myself! It's a great big beautiful tomorrow was permanently stuck on my head after that

1971, Open just two weeks, Eeyore came out of nowhere in a gift shop in the contemporary hotel, walked into a steel pole and broke of an ear. the cast member helped him up and he was gone. Disney fun. My brother and I rode the monorails so much , one of the drivers let us sit in the cab, he let me pull the shifter (ford) down, and away we went. then he over heard me do the announcement and insisted I do it live on the mike. I felt like a star for two weeks.

I had a chance to break down on haunted mansion back during Christmas season which was such a cool experience. Even though we didn't end up getting off all the lights came on and my entire family got such a cool look at the ride. Minus my aunt and uncle who ended up getting stuck on the part where your moving down backwards into the open grave show scene (where I was). It was crazy how childish it actually looks without the effects because all the detailing isn't very strong.

Every time I go on the Haunted Mansion ride, it gets stuck. We were always able to keep going except for one time. Sadly it was at the beginning. At one point when we got stuck, it was when we were backwards in the nightmare before Christmas part of the ride we got lightheaded, but it was still fun seeing everything with the lights on, even if it was only for a couple of minutes.

I once got stuck on Thunder mountain at the coyote cave/waterfall cave, and me and my family had to go through an in-show exit. At least we all got free fastpasses.

I remember I was at the park when California screaming broke down. I wasn’t on it but I saw everyone walking down and I felt so bad for all of them. It made me so scared to ride it because I am extremely scared of heights.

The first break down that happened to me in Disneyland was the Haunted Mansion. It is really so beautiful with the lights on! We also didn’t receive any fast-passes as the park was already closing soon :(

I've been on two of the rides shown in this video: Dinosaur and the Haunted Mansion in two separate. That said, I'm glad to see and hear that Disney does have safety procedures in place to help get riders out of their vehicles and lead them out of the attraction. What I love about the video is seeing the ride tracks, especially the ones in the dark rides. As for getting stuck on any coaster on a lift hill, that's one reason I dislike about coasters: I hate heights in open spaces and being upside-down. With that thought in mind, there has been only one coaster I've ridden in many years of visiting WDW: Expedition Everest in Animal Kingdom for a very good reason: it doesn't go upside-down and I don't mind getting wet, especially on a hot day in the parks. As for the incentives handed out at the In-Show exit, I would have accepted only the food vouchers and the water, especially given the high prices for both snack varieties at the parks. Screw your FastPasses cards!

Once in epcot florida one of the rides I was in broke down on a hill. And on the pirates of the caribbean ride in Paris the boats stopped. Then after about 20 mins we started moving and immediately went down a steep slope and hit the back of the boat infront. 😬

To this day, the only ride that I was able to exit because it broke down was Splash Mountain in Disney World. We got stuck in front of the ferryboat. After 25 minutes of hearing Zipidy Do Da I started begging out loud that they at least turn off the music. Graciously they did. It was surreal watching the animations still moving and the lights still going with no music. They gave us 5 fast passes on our way out for the next day, but it was our last day there and this happened during extra magic hours, so by the time they got us off the ride, the park was closed. Oddly, there were no children in any of those boats, so one guy had a flask of whiskey that he began to pass around to those of us stuck. This was pre-corona obviously. lol.

Once when I was really little we were on the Ellen ride and our car battery gave out on the first scene. I was little so I don't remember a lot but I think we have some pictures of the animatronics because they let us get out of the cars and go up to the animatronics to get a closer view. The stage lights were on of course but after everyone got the pictures they wanted we were escorted to the beginning. Since then, not many rides I've been on have broken down or had non working animatronics.

The last time i went to Disneyland, the Thunder Mountain Ride got stuck in the first lift hill and went backwards for 2 seconds and then got stuck again. I was so scared lol everybody was screaming.

one time, when I was six, and it was my first visit to Walt Disney world (I live in florida), I got stuck at the very end of Peter Pan's flight right before you would exit for 30 minutes. they never performed an in show exit, it just sat there for 30 minutes, and so did we.

When I went I stayed at a hotel that made my stay a nightmare. Don't ever go to Celebration Inn & Suites. From check in, to check out. I had someone go through my suitcase my first day, thank God I brought my wallet with to Disney. Then there are homeless people and drunks wandering around the property at night which makes you feel super safe. When you go, stay on resort property, it's so much nicer. Next time I go, we're staying in one of the resorts. No more off property crap.

Two small stories 1. My dad once “drove” at the Indiana Jones ride... the only time the ride broke down that day. My entire family was in the car and we were all blaming him... sorry dad 😭 2. We were at Disney world and we noticed that Space Mountain was down. I convinced my family to go on the people mover since space mountain had the lights on. They eventually went on with me and we got to see space mountain with the lights on... 100% recommend
